You can pick up a nice steelbook for 5.00 at Best Buy if you "pre-order". I already did

You can buy HD quality right now if you have Zune for Xbox.

GR2 BD Review: Movie still sucks, but the bonus material is good stuff.

Final verdict:

"If you want to see Nicolas Cage in a really bad-ass Ghost Rider flick, watch Drive Angry instead. I mean, he's not rocking a motorcycle, and there's a bunch of muscle and skin all over that decidedly-not-aflame skull of his, but otherwise, it's pretty much the same deal. As for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance...? Hell no. Skip It. "

I saw that at Best-Buy, and at first I was thinking "wait, this movie is so bad that they just released it on blu ray now and only for $5?!" Then I read the whole thing and... oops. Not a disappointment really, I have no desire to watch this movie unless it happens to be on TV with nothing else on.

I may buy it, I loved it for the reason I love movies like Troll 2 and the Room. It has a nice balance of being in between those films and a comic book thrill ride. It was total grindhouse fun and that's exactly what I liked about it.

I don't own a lot of blu-rays but may switch that around and I'm going to want to start collecting them very soon, might add this to a collection. My question is though...is it only a 3D blu-ray release? Like if you don't have 3D, are you screwed basically?

There is a version with just 2D Bluray & then a 2 disc set with both 2D & 3D included.

I'm probably just going to get the regular DVD as a show of support.
Hoping it encourages a better third film.

Then I would get the Blu Ray of a trilogy. Avoiding double dipping on the films.

At my Target I got the last DVD, they were sold out. They only had 6 BluRay's left.
Hope this instance was repeated widely this week across the country.

Who know where to get the first week/month sales? Will SHH report it, sometimes they do don't they?

Anyone know what the BluRay/DVD first week sales were like for the movie? We are coming up on first month of that format release. I'd like to know. It'll help really give the most complete picture beyond guessing on what Sony is likely to do with the franchise.

I checked a week or two ago, and GR 2 was #2 on rental and DVD/BD sales list.

I saw the steel book case for the Blu-Ray at Best Buy. I tried to buy that and only that but they said I had to buy the Blu-Ray disc as well. I just wanted the case for that awesome poster art. I want nothing to do with actually owning this movie. I would have put the first movie in it so it was at least being used as well.

Thanks for finding that, but hell no. For $5, yeah. That's too much. Not that pretty a picture. I can just print out the high res poster I have and glue it on the box.
