Someone brought up it might confuse people into thinking he is co-directing with Snyder or something. They could've said director and producer but then again he's already taken up so much of the canvas.

Well, Kurosawa was banned.

BTW, that Super cape is really long. Longer than Jor-El's. Makes Superman look really "royal".

I think there was a guy a few pages back that did bash it for that reason.

I'm curious to see on what Lara's outfit will look like, let alone regular civilian clothing on Krypton now.

Because he's only producing this. You credit people based on similar work they've done before. You wouldn't market a director for previous acting work, or vice versa. Same thing here.

At this point, Chris Nolan's name is recognizable enough where it being attached to a film could actually help it in terms of gaining people's interest if they weren't already interested in the character of Superman imho due to his success with both Batman and his other films.

Plus, I think this is the first film that Nolan is producing where he ISN'T the director for the film as well, and like some have said or speculated, I would think that he wouldn't want to attach his name to something if he thought it was going to be bust.

On another note, I wonder if we'll actually get to see some live action Kryptonian weaponry for once on the big screen; would those weapons have any effect on Superman on Earth since they're of kryptonian origin as well in terms of being able to hurt him?

That would be really nice.

Tired of Kryptonite being the only thing that can hurt him. Kryptonian weaponry against Superman sounds like it would have a lot of visual potential.

Looking closely at the new symbol of Superman, we see that it does not match the costume Kal-El:

On the other hand, the symbol on the costume of Jor-El is just that:

The new suit looks fantastic. I can't wait too see more of Henry Cavill wearing it

My theory as to why the emblem on Superman's costume differs from Jor-el's one along with the one shown in the promotional art is that Superman's costume represents all family members who are under the head of the clan (ala Jor-el) and that it's only the head members of the family that wear the symbol that Jor el has.

Strange isn't it folks, in a exciting kind of way?

I mean, for the first time since the Donner Era, we're actually getting Kryptonian suits that aren't all white with a white lab coat attached to it and the standard "Black" colored Superman emblem on Jor-el's chest.lol

We're actually moving away from that era and finally showing a new side of Krypton for once on the big screen, or hell, in live action medium. Since none of the previous live action mediums had either the guts or the budget, they had to stick with the standard all white clothing for kryptonians or a mixture of black/gray garments as shown in LnC: The Series, but even then they were so very basic.

I like the design of Superman's costume. We still need to see it on screen to get an exact look at the color scheme. But no matter how the picture is shot the red will look vibrant. That was my biggest criticism of the Superman Returns suit. The red was maroon or brown.

Now it comes down to how Henry looks in the costume. I wasn't thrilled with Henry's look when he posed with the boy at the train station but that wasn't an official screenshot.

Yeah, the lack of news has kept me away for the last little bit so I had no clue he was banned. Anyone know why?

But it’s the same basic “font” - thicker middle, no serif on the tail of the S. The suit version is plainer and 2D; the poster version is more embellished and 3D.

You really need to ask that question?

Honestly, I wonder if he wasn't actually banned... he just put absolutely everyone in the boards on his ignore list.

It's weird tho, because most of the people who used to jump on has bandwagon of hatred and condescension have been pretty quiet since too. It's like he was the mothership or something!

Without the cape n insignia, it looks almost like a mascular Spiderman suit.

Well, good that they copied from the successful superhero movie.

No doubt it will look good in the movie.
