Even though I think Madea's hilarious, they don't seem to be making any good "Black" movies anymore. Films like Boyz 'N The Hood, The Wood, Five Heartbeats, Cooley High, New Jack City, Love & Basketball, etc. I'm not trying to be offensive toward any other ethnicity, but as a Black man it's just something I've noticed that's pretty unfortunate. Hell, these days all we get is stuff like Jumping the Broom, Think Like a Man, and Madea's Witness Protection.

I will say that I tried to watch Red Tails a few days ago and couldn't really get into it. Guess I just didn't like the tone.

In America maybe but there are good black movies being made in Britain, France, South Africa, South America, ect.

I think City of god is better than Boyz 'N The Hood personally.

Black college comedy movie 'dear white people' looks good as well. Check out the trailer on youtube

Yeah, I was talking about Hollywood. I looked up 'Dear White People' and loved it, definitely going to have to check it out when it becomes available. Thanks for telling me about it, man.
