Also they do not skimp on Supermans powers at all. He's crazy strong, fly, heat vision, ice breath. It's all here

I think its safe to say that Superman is indeed the man. I only played with him in chapter 5 and I already prefer him over Batman and Robin. I'm playing the story completely first before I go around free roaming the city, but I can't wait to fly around with him in Gotham.

So what we're saying is that this is the best interpretation of Supes in a video game since the Atari 2600.

thanks!

so, are certain characters only available for certain chapters?

or, once you "unlock" them, you can freely switch between them?

or are there 2 separate game modes, a Story mode where you use certain characters at certain times, and a Free Roam mode where you can use any character once you unlock them?

I got the guide and game yesterday and man the prices of the characters are kinda of pricey. You also need a certain amount of golden bricks before buying them. Martian Manhunter requires 175 gold bricks. I was able to get both the Villain and Heroes pack for free.

Yeah Supergirl is 250 unlocking her will be the very last thing you do in the game. To answer you X Knight. Story mode they give you the characters, usually Batman and someone else. Then you can go back and free play any level. All you have to do is hold Y and pick whichever character you want

Crap I hadn't realized that this game came out this week, I'll have to hit up a Gamestop ASAP to pick it up.

Me too.

I went with free shipping, and am kinda regretting it because mine still says "shipping soon".

The open world Gotham and voice acting really add a whole new layer on the Lego experience. Superman has all his powers at his disposal and everytime you take to sky to fly John Williams' music starts to play its awesome
I was very interested in the game before. Then I saw the deal that Amazon had for it, and heard it was going to be open world. And I got super interested.

Then I saw gameplay video of Superman in flight with the Superman theme playing...and I was ****ing sold.

I really only have time to play one game at the time, and might as well wait for price drops in the meantime. I went with The Amazing Spiderman but now I'm fearing I made the wrong choice....

As is always the case with LEGO games, I'm glad I rented because I'm about 65% done overall, and I should have the platinum trophy by tomorrow night. Now I don't know if that's a testament to how easy these games are, or if its how fun this one was that I can't seem to put it down for long.

Superman is really fun in this game! I haven't even tried out the hero and villain packs yet.

I'm in the same boat but I had 70 bucks at Gamestop so I bought it and I think its combination of easy and can't stop playing.

Ha! I feel ya! Don't lose hope. Although a little disappointing in some aspects, the general consensus is that it's a fun game.

Keep the faith! I've been reading up on it non-stop, and, like you said, there seems to have been some less-than-desirables choices made. But people who have it still seemed pleased, do that is encouraging.

The question is, are they as pleased as Lego Batman owners (who are currently free-roaming as Superman, more or less).

Almost Tuesday!

I obviously haven't played ASM yet, but I'm going to have to agree.

This is a great game, especially if you're a fan of Batman and DC superheroes. But overall, even with the additions, which are well done, it still feels like a LEGO game, and they lose their novelty really fast, which is why I never buy them anymore. Still fun to play though, especially Superman.

Precisely why I'm going to rent this one. It looks very unique for a LEGO game and adds some firsts for videos games as a whole. (Free roam Gotham...good Superman experience...)
