Yeah, the whole world needs to see the team eat shawarma. An extended cut of it, even.

Some naughty fan with a bootleg copy of The Avengers isolated the moment when Tony spotted the shawarma joint during the battle. It was near the Farmer's Insurance office where he crashed and was momentarily overwhelmed by the Chitauri before going after the missile. There was the Shawarma Palace sign amidst the rubble, literally two blocks from where he landed after Hulk caught him. That was a lot of setup for a quick laugh. The post-post-credits scene was a terrific stinger.

Directors Cuts are awesome. Daredevil was such a mediocre film when I saw if in theatre. The Directors Cut much improved the movie and IMO, made it enjoyable.

Same with LOTR, the theatrical cuts are awesome. The extended cuts make it epic.

You know, i am rarely for corporations stringing out the public for cash grabs, but could any self respecting Comic fan say they wouldnt revisit the theaters for an extended version of a comic movie they like?

It makes me wonder why production companies havent thought of intentionally filimng an extra hour of footage for any fan driven movie that would make the movie too long for general public viewing, but would be eaten up by fans in a re-release... think about it, all the stuff they leave out because they have to make the movie general public friendly could be thrown in for a small cost and they could make a huge profit plus make the fanpersons happy to boot!

I'd be up for this. Though, it doesn't seem like it's happening unless they announced it at SDCC.

Good, this situation shouldn't be a problem for you then.

Because then you'd be discounting the vision that the director wants and has edited. I don't want them releasing a "director's cut" without Whedon's blessing. Otherwise, you risk pissing him off, and him coming back for the sequel.
