I think those was were Eggyman's scores and he gave ASM an 8.5/10.
So who knows where ASM will rank for you?

Spider-Man -- 3/5
Spider-Man 2 -- 3 or 3.5/5 depending on my mood Spider-Man 3 -- 2/5 The Amazing Spider-Man -- We'll see. From what I've seen and heard so far I'm guessing 2.5 or 3, maybe even 3.5, but obviously, I need to see it before judging. Last edited by Abudefduf; 06-27-2012 at 03:26 PM. |

I'd give both SM1 and 2 about 7.5/10. Everyone seems to think that SM2 is better than the first, but for me they're pretty much equal. SM3 would be about a 6.
I'm expecting to like TASM significantly more because it's more how Spider-man should have been the first time, despite me liking the Raimi ones a lot. |

I'd give both Raimi films a 9 out of 10, and I expect TASM to be average.

If we were going for four stars, I don't think I could give S-M 3 a 2; more like a 1 as I only enjoyed like four scenes, and that's about it. I agree with the other two films though

Spider-Man: 8
Spider-Man 2: 8 Spider-Man 3: 6.5 A couple of weeks ago, I might've rated SM1 and SM2 higher, but after revisiting them in the past week I've realized that they're not the gold standard anymore. And that's not a knock against those films: just a realization about how far the comic book movie genre has come in the past ten years.

Spider-Man 1 = 8/10. - Despite it's aging (what film doesn't truly age) It's chock full of iconic imagery and scenes, and Dunst and Maguire are red hot in this.
Spider-Man 2 = 9.5/10 - A damn near masterpiece. Spider-Man 3 = 6.5/10 - Despite all it's overloaded crap...it's still brimming with great ideas and some pretty awesome scenes. From everything I've read about TASM I'm expecting it to place between 1 and 3, but it could also beat the first if it's problems don't annoy me that much.

Spider-Man - 9/10 my favorite film in the series, thought everything about it was just great, granted it hasn't aged very well. Thought it nailed the origin story and I'm excited to see if TASM can top it.
Spider-Man 2 - 8.5/10 pretty great movie, but I feel it's a little overrated. I just don't see why everyone thinks it's the greatest CBM ever. It's still a great film though. Spider-Man 3 - 2/10 would not bang

As of now, I rank them this:
Spider-Man 1: 7.3/10 (Great origin and overall feel, but with some annoying problems. I actually don't mind neither Tobey nor Kirsten in this one. With the exception of the final battle, I think the action is pretty bad considering it's Spider-Man afterall. Dafoe is great as Norman but Green Goblin looks awful) Spider-Man 2: 7.2/10 (Is like an opposite to SM1 to me: great action, but this time I get really annoyed at some cheesyness, Tobey and Kirsten etc. Molina is perfect as Ock, and Doc Ock looks perfect, but I don't like him as a sympathetic villain) Spider-Man 3: 4/10 (Same problems with cheesyness and annoying actors as in SM2, but times two. The story is messy as hell. It starts off good and has the best scene of the trilogy with Birth of Sandman, but later on it just ****s up completely. The action is mixed, I like the Peter vs. Harry fight in the mansion but the rest is either weird or way too short) To compare with other CBMs, here's what I rank some others: The Dark Knight: 9.8/10 Batman Begins: 9.5/10 Iron Man: 9.5/10 Avengers: 9.5/10 (yup I really love these four films) X-Men: First Class: 8.3/10 Thor: 7.8/10 Incredible Hulk: 7/10 Ghost Rider: 1/10

CBMs I enjoy the most at this moment: 1) The Avengers, 2) The Dark Knight, 3) Iron Man 3, 4) Iron Man, 5) The Amazing Spider-Man. CBMs in the near future I'm most looking forward to at this moment: 2) Thor 2, 3) Man of Steel, 4) The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 5) Guardians of the Galaxy (would be higher in the list if it wasn't for how much I hate the film Super from the same director). |

Picard facepalm is too much of a big deal to give that rating to S-M 3.

I have faith ASM will be right under SM2 as my second favorite Spidey film.
1. SM2 9/10 2. SM1 6/10 3. SM3 3/10
