I can't see The Ghost being the leader, he's a gun for hire. I think him being a freelancer working for Madame Masque but also with his own agenda would be the way to go.

For her henchman I'd go for The Raiders.

I think Black may have spoken in broad terms as he often does, I don't think he dislikes the overall concept of The Mandarin, more the depiction of him in certain stories.

I could see Ghost as the villain seeing as Shane black isn't too into Mandarin and the fact he wants a more thriller style Iron Man movie.

I've enjoyed Ghost in Thunderbots. I think another villain might be needed thought.

Below is Ghost from the current Thunderbolts, I'm not keen on the overall ethereal look, but I think the mask fused with the look from the recent toon would work well.

I agree. If there's one thing the teen Tony cartoons did well was making Iron Man's rogues gallery look cool.

Ghost definitely needs his hood.

I only saw the two Ghost eps but they certainly did a great job with him.

Agreed, it's adds to the mystique, the Thunderbolts Ghost is too literal IMO.

Ghost should be a henchman. He's always been kind of a free agent without a personal grudge against Stark.

I am cool with him in the movie as long as we get to see him waste Spymaster the way he did in the comics.... cold blooded.

The Raiders are Edwin Cord's henchmen, who also employs Firepower (who destroyed the Silver Centurion armor). Madame Masque's henchmen are normally the Dreadnoughts, but she works in league with Spymaster as well.

The Ghost isn't really anyone's henchman. He does his own thing and switches allegiances as and when it suits him, given his highly treacherous and untrustworthy nature. He would try to take down both Iron Man and Madame Masque in all honesty. If Edwin Cord were in the movie, the Ghost would try to destroy him too.

I'd love to see Ghost. I think, like the other villains, he should be radically adapted to minimize excessive exposition. Ghost's origin is that he's a tech genious burned by a company and now has a personal grudge against all corporate types. Why not have him work for Stark? Why not have him devlop the Ghost Armor off of the Stealth Armor, and add improvements, such as being wired into it, going intangible, going completely invisible. So now he's just as badass, but he's quicker because he's wired into the suit, and more stealthy. Very scary stuff. Then Tony has to decide, does he ruin his life by building the Extremis Armor into himself, or go old school on the young guy.

Personally, I'd make him part of the ten rings, if not the leader, fuse him with Mandarin like Whiplash was fused with Dynamo.

I'd absolutely love it if this was the route they went.

Being that this is probably RDJ's last go around as Iron Man I'm really hoping they pull out all the stops. I'd like to see Ghost (since he's such an original character for the MCU) alongside a team of villains. Give me Madam Masque, Living Laser (with a name change) and Blizzard, all working for Mandarin who uses Ultimo as his personal bodyguard. Hell, throw AIM and MODOK in there too! Give me some Armor Wars type craziness. Do I think it will happen? Nope. But man it would be beautiful
