That should've been the lead single for the Spidey 2 soundtrack.

I love alot of songs on the soundtracks for Spider-man 1 and 3,esp. "Hero," and "Signal Fire." But,the Spider-man 2 soundtrack is my all time favorite album ever. Every song on there is spectacular and fits the movie perfectly.

Of the three soundtracks, I think that the Spider-Man 3 soundtrack is the best of the bunch. "Signal Fire" is a charming song that fits with the trilogy (in my opinion), and you gotta love The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Flaming Lips! Oh, and let's not forget Chubby Checker! Whether you love or hate the dancing in the movie, you CANNOT deny the greatness of "The Twist"
![]() As for the Spider-Man 1 & 2 soundtracks, I think that they aren't really "good" albums collectively, but there are some good songs here and there. I enjoy them whenever I decide to dust them off and play them, because they bring back some good memories. I may despise Nickelback as much as the next person, but whenever "Hero" starts playing, I immediately think about Summer 2002 (which was one of the best Summers ever, to be honest!).

Ok, since it's Spider-Man 2's anniversary, lets discuss favorite scenes or moments in it.
I'm not going to go for an obvious one like one of the fight scenes, or one of the emotional moments. I'm going to discuss a little gem of a scene where Doc Ock storms the train after Spidey has saved it, and the train passengers try to protect Spidey from Ock. When I first saw it I thought it was another rehash of the SM-1 scene where Spidey was saved by the people on the bridge from Goblin by throwing things at him and giving him verbal abuse. How wrong I was. Instead Ock does a smug little smile and says "Very well"; ![]() Then smashes them all aside (lol at some of them going flying though the train windows), then gives Spidey a brutal knock out blow to the face with one of his tentacle claws. Awesome.

One of my favorite scenes is right in the beginning. I remember the talk of Spider-Man 2 starting with an action sequence as that's usually the case with CBMs(I specifically remember going on SuperHeroHype.com and reading some comments before I even found out there was a forum, lol), but nope...Peter is driving around trying to deliver pizza, lol. Perfect example of the not-so-typical hero having to balance out being a hero with everyday life. He isn't rich and this movie shows. Agreed, haha.

Obviously, when I think Spider-man 2 the fight scenes come to mind, esp. the train fight which I still consider the greatest fight ever. But,that bank fight was almost as spectacular. As far as drama wise,I think Peter's confession and apology to Aunt May about Ben's death was really such an emotional scene and the best of the film,I think. But my favorite moment in the entire trilogy(well,it's probably tied with Venom's birth in part 3)is the lasy few minutes of the movie when MJ and Peter finally get together. Then, that epic moment when she says,"Go get em',tiger," and he has that final swing. That scene still gets me pumped up and gives me goosebumps to this day.

In a good way right? Cause I loved it and Peter's version of it at the end. Plus I love how May changes her mind on Spidey after being saved by him. Unlike the comics where he saved her life several times and she tries to marry Dock Ock lol.

Sixteen or so years from Spider-Man 2, we could get a great Spider-Man film much like the '89 Batman and then The Dark Knight.

Just watching the original trilogy in preparation for the new Spidey movie, just finished Spiderman 2 which is still today an amazing movie, quite possibly the best Spiderman movie we will ever get.
Its great finally being able to watch the first 2 on blu-ray as well, owned the 3rd movie for years but only got the first 2 this week, still love this trilogy but looking forward to he new movie. Going with the last few posts I think for me Peter saving the little girl from the burning building without his powers is an amazing scene, just shows that Peter is a hero even without his powers, and then to find out there was someone else in the building who died just sums up the heroic yet tragic nature of the character to me, great scene.

I'm glad the crew decided not to use the old cookie version from Lee's era for Aunt May, if they did that she wouldn't give this great memorable speech, and would instead be annoying "Spider-Man is a menace"
