It wasnt even that I just felt that the characters were dull, it wasnt funny, and yeah the twist wasnt good either. I give it about 4/10
And also I thought they really wasted Adam Brody's talent Last edited by Blackman; 06-30-2012 at 01:09 AM. |

I think the second and third Scream are pretty weak, but the first and fourth rock pretty hard, I think. Especially the first one, and especially if you remember when it first came out. Of course, that is a popular opinion, I guess, but real.
An unpopular opinion of mine: I really don't care all that much for either of the Craig Bonds, including Casino Royale. It's a good movie, great even, but I don't know, I guess I just grew way too accustomed to a Bond that was cool, or at least trying to be cool. Craig reminded me more of John Drake than James Bond, though just not as smooth (though I think Drake was influenced by the book version of Bond). Oh, and I guess since we're talking Potter stuff, I don't really like any of the Harry Potter stuff: movies or books. I don't know, maybe I missed the boat when I was younger, but I got pretty bored senseless by the whole thing. |

I thoroughly enjoyed DH part 1, but part 2 was so disappointing for me personally. Quote:

The only thing that disappointed me about DH2 was how anticlimactic it was when Voldemort died. He went out with a whimper, not a crescendo like he should have.

At least it was more climactic than it was in the book

Yeah. I really don't have much respect for Rowling as a writer.

The Hurt Locker is the biggest, most boring piece of **** I've ever seen. I don't get why anyone liked it, let alone why it won Best Picture.

I never read the Harry Potter books. I was never a fan of the films until I watched Order of the Phoenix. Voldemort trying to get into Harry's head and manipulate him reminded me of Darth Vader trying to temp Luke with the dark side of the force. That held my interest and Umbridge was an interesting villain.
I like the way Dobby's death was handled but it had no emotional weight on me.The character was barely in the films and a nuisance in Chamber of Secrets. Also I'm looking forward to the Amazing Spider-man ( which seems unpopular outside the Spider-man section). I think ASM do a much better job portraying the character but part of me will miss some of the campy fun in Raimi's films. He's just got a little too carried away in SM3. |

I found Norton's banner to be completely devoid of personality and just bland overall. He really didn't take the role and make it his own like RDJ and Hugh Jackman did with iron man/ wolverine respectively imo.

I liked norton, but Ruffalo had me saying "edward who?"
Here's one : Fright Night, Part 2 is nowhere near great, but I enjoy it. Also, I enjoyed the FN remake more than the original (though I love that one too).

I hate actors who are critical darlings. Drama, oscar season, the types of movies that garner that kind of buzz hold no interest to me. Best actor, actress, picture? Gimmie an action movie with one liners. I watch movies to have a good time not to get depressed and watch suffering and sadness as art.

I didn't find Training Day enjoyable in any way.
I don't "get" the praise.

I don't think Denzel Washington is this amazing actor some try to make him out to be; he's one of the worst cases of same-character in every movie he's in.

Hollywood is very much under the disillusion that for a movie to be great, it has to be some emotional, troubling three-hour tale of woe and misery. I hate movies like that - unless they're ridiculously warranted like Schindler's List or Hotel Rwanda. Rather, what a great movie can - and should be - considered is merely a film that has a meaningful purpose and message beneath the story and characters. Felini's 8 1/2 didn't depress me, or pain me in anyway - in a lot of ways it was funny, amusing, and strange. But it was still great, and still packed an extremely powerful intellectual punch purely because it had a great amount of meaning and purpose behind the plot.

97% on Rotten Tomatoes (97%!!!) one of the most boring movies I've ever seen and pushed my 'watch every movie to the end' rule to the absolute limit. The movie was so boring I could only watch it in 15 minute chunks. I hate this PoS movie with a passion. |

I dont think Batman Begin is great I like it has everything in it that I feel I should love but I dont with TDKR coming out and people saying its going to be the perfect trilogy when imo the first movie being far from great to me its a 7/10.
While the Dark Knight on the other hand I do think and agree when people say its great.

I was completely checked out of the movie for act 3 and the 'I wont kill you, but I don't have to save you' line was the most angry I've EVER been watching Batman and I've seen the Shumaker movies. BB for me is okay and no more, imho there are a ton of superhero movies I consider better but you'll get no arguement from me that TDK is the best superhero movie ever. |

And, man, all this Hurt Locker hate is kind of weird. Were you guys just expecting a balls to the wall action movie or something? Because otherwise I thought it was a really good movie. The ending, with his son and wife, packed a pretty powerful punch, I thought. Man, maybe I'm not cut out for this unpopular thread stuff
