Had a blast BSing with The Daily BLAM's Pietro Filliponi (aka Poni Boy here) on this week's Movie Moan on The Amazing Spider-Man.

There's plenty of that going around on both sides. We have a long list of infractions and probations to prove it.

I'll go way out on a limb and say $207 OW for TDKR.

Still, $190 million seems like the logical estimate.
Frankly, as someone who have seen and enjoyed TDK, I don't think Batman fans can accuse Marvel boards for being smug, since they did it with TDK for 4 years now.

But anyway, I think both TA and TDKR will be the #1 & 2 movies of the summer, and I won't be surprised if TDKR joins TA on the top of the box office champ leader list when it's all said and done.

I think TDKR will really stand out in an awful year for blockbuster type films with very few exceptions. Could get even more replay value than TDK if the ending really is Nolan at his best. He is amazing at resolving films.

Do you know when the embargo lifts by any chance? I can't wait to read them.

Some say the 16th, but alot of people believe the embargo will be lifted on the 18th to avoid leaking spoilers as long as possible.

Reminder: there will be no posting of ANY spoilers from The Dark Knight Rises here. Anyone who even tries is going to be taking a long time off.

Just to explain how strict we are going to be regarding the TDKR spoilers, comments like this:

...tread dangerously close to spoiler territory, even without giving anything specific away.

So be smart and keep the subject on the box office. You want to talk spoilers, go to the Batman forum. But do not discuss spoilers, endings, or plot points here.

Understood, but I don't plan on posting or talking about ANY spoilers ANYWHERE. I haven't even read them (seeing as it's a sensitive issue with me as well). What I stated was non-spoilerish and was simply making a conversational point with Iceman. I did not see the harm in my post.

We're not having conversations about the ending, reactions of the ending, reviews about the ending...even if we don't reveal what the ending is.

Just don't go there. Keep it on box office, and don't go anywhere else.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing Nolanites shut up in stunned silence after TA's OW. Then TA fanboys become the new Nolanites overnight. I guess I just like to see everyone get upset at some point.

Thank you danoyse!

I have been avoiding TDKR forums ever since that production info unspooled out a week or two ago. I've gone this many years spoiler-free, I don't understand why anyone couldn't wait two more weeks. So here I am blissfully ignorant!

There were TDKR spoilers in this thread? Good thing I happened to be out.

Is it safe to read now before I do so?

Gentlemen, there was never any spoilers posted. Relax. The word 'spoilers' was the closest thing to the actual spoilers being posted.

Moving on...

C'mon, TA fans only get to gloat a little bit for 2 months, while TDK fans had been doing it for more than 3 years. You're not being fair here.
