I was a little confused this week. When Betsy saw Warren and Xavier, that was in her head right? Like an attack from Shadow King?

We don't know yet. They're being very selective what information gets released.

Wow, Issue 27 was brutal.
I dont think any of The New Brotherhood will be left standing by the end of this arc haha. I have a feeling Wolverine and Betsy (even though she tried to quit X-Force) are gonna go blood thirsty when they run into them next. No way they will let that **** slide. |

The Brotherhood name has been so sullied since Mystique's group back in the 80s, but Remenber brought respect back to it in this book. This is the best rednition of it since then

Yeah, all are solid adversaries for the X Force members.
Looking forward to seeing what Remender does with E.V.A. and how Evan is going to react. |

He been my fav in the book. Him and Betsy have really been the driving force behind everything. But yeah Im a bit disappointed that it looks like he wont be coming back at least in this book. At least he went out strong. That whole scene getting Betsy out with his mask was well done. As was telling himself to not show an emotion during his death and how his brains are different. Remender can go pretty ****ed up so Im a bit worried why they are leaving his body on the chair like that. Skinless man didnt leave his wife in good shape. E.V.A def has a strong score to settle now.
Maybe the whole thing was misdirection

OK been awhile since I read Morrison's new X-Men but isn't EVA his nervous system? If so would she not be somehow affected by his death?

Yeah, She evolves into her humanoid form when he died. In a way its supposed to be like she dies as well with how its writen. Alot of death and immediate rebirth been goen on in the book. Pretty similar to what Morrison did in the New X men Here comes tomorrow stuff. I guess not being bonded causes some sort of mutation. Her and Fanomex's prior memories should still be with her, so I take the only thing affected is her form and not having to bond with anyone now thats she her own being.

I'm pretty sure they made a point of saying his power wasn't working.

Well I hated Fantomex so I thank Remender for offing him and hopefully it's not a fake out that is soon reversed

I didnt get the appeal behind the guy. He really didnt stand out to me at all and just seemed like just another gun toting bad-ss. He did nothing for me and I hated how he never took off his mask. That bugged me

He finally explained what was special about his mask when he rescued Psylocke last month. I really liked how aloof and sarcastic he was.

His part of the Weapon Plus programme he'll be back lol. Btw off topic a bit but I was considering getting The Dark Angel Saga in trade. Do you need to have know what had happened in the previous arc(s) before reading?

Yeah I really liked the stuff in issue 7. Wish Remender would give Wade some deeper arcs like when he took out Father. The tormented side of Deadpool is always an interesting thing to focus on. I have a feeling Wade will be taking on the Omegas since everyone else seems to have heavy rivals.
I think you would be able to follow, but there are some pretty significant things that happen before the Dark Angel Saga. Its all set up to that story and will probably effect what you read, minus one or two side stories which I believe are issues 8 an 9. Its all good though. Only arc I havnt enjoyed too much and would recommend maybe skipping was Otherworld, which still had good moments and a solid intro to the Skinless Man.
