You start with Eevee in Conquest, but you come across other, better Pokemon quickly enough. If I remember correctly the touchscreen is available for use, but you can play without just like the other Pokemon games. There aren't any annoying touchscreen minigames in Conquest.

I was going to get this because I like Pokemon... However.. I'm not a fan of war strategy games.. So, I doubt I'd like it.

The strategy aspect definitely slows the pace of Pokemon battles quite a bit, but I personally like the way I can plan a little more. Although, I do what I usually do in regular Pokemon, I rely one heavy hitter. In Conquest it's Lapras.

Just picked up White a few days ago. I beat the E4 and Ghetsis. Not a bad gen for Pokemon. But R/b and Y are still my faves.

Anyway. B2/W2 are coming but it doesn't look like they're adding too much to it. May skip it or wait and see what the general consensus is like.

Anyway. I started thinking about Gen Six and what they can do to improve. these are the things I would like to see.

1st - The Gameplay doesn't need a revamp. It needs additional features.

I just don't want the first Pokemon in my set to come out. I want to be able to choose based on what my opponent is using. Maybe add a coin flip to see who goes last(or the ability to choose first or last). The last trainer gets to see what Pokemon their opponent is using and can plan accordingly.
When an offensive attack is coming towards your Pokemon there should be a time(base on the evasive stat) when you can get your Pokemon to dodge with a push of a button.
Up the move pool from four to six
Evolving attacks as the Pokemon and Trainer get stronger. Eg. Shock over time becomes ThunderShock then Thunder.
I want the Trainer to have lvls. Each lvl increasing the chances of seeing rare pokemon, catching ability and boosting exp gain among his/her's Pokemon.

2nd - The Presentation

I want my starter(or whatever PKM I choose) to walk outside of it's Pokeball.
No more W/F/G starters. I want to choose from a bunch(six maybe more with DLC) from across all Gens. (eg. Pichu, Azumaril, Bagon, Riolu, Zorua[last two may need an additional evo's] and a new PKM)
No more event PKM. It doesn't make sense. A lot of buyers who buy the game late miss out but still pay the same price. Just issue PKM as DLC.

All I can think of right now.

Any thoughts on Gen VI? what does everybody want? and is there any speculation out there?

I'm surprised to see that Conquest is getting some solid reviews. Thought it was going to be one of those fail Pokemon spin off games but it looks like it's actually quite good.

I got the urge to pick up Platinum around the time Arceus was being distributed. I managed to get every single one up to B/W without too much of a headache.

Throwing a bulbasaur up on the network will get you just about any non-legendary you could want.

I ordered Conquest from Amazon even though it's out of stock right now. I have a feeling it will be one of those games that's so hard to find that will be incredibly overpriced later like every Fire Emblem game.

Yup, when I bought Conquest my buddy said I was lucky.. He got ONE shipped in. Their shipments are often low and the game frequently sells out.
