Unfortunately it's getting 52 episodes no matter what, they've been ordered and they're deep into production now. :/

I saw the newest episode, Awesome - more like Awful.

What Peter did was a d*** move, but S.H.I.E.L.D? They're the big villains of the episode

Connors creates a robot eating anything inorganic, under S.H.I.E.L.D. supervision, for S.H.I.E.L.D., out of control, and everybody focuses on Spider-Man doing wrong ignoring them? What are they planning to do with a weapon like this? Create chaos when their job is to keep peace? This is out of their main goal, at the goal they say their organization is built for

Why is Coulson assigning each two guys on one desk in teams? Easier for animation? Harry & Danny make team annoying, and I wish Flash made an appearance, ever since Wolverine punched him hard he's been off screen

What? The 60s cartoon gave him both of his arms, but at least it created a considerably valid reason to turn Connors to Lizard, and didn't overdo the plot
Raimi's films made him a physicist, so it's good they ended before making him a Lizard and not trying to restore his missing arm

But this? They'd better keep Lizard away from Connors. Much as I enjoy the show I do notice many faults, and this will go overboard with making errors in this show, there is absolutely no reason for Connors to turn reptilian here

Brock was well built up to be Venom in TSSM, there might be a few missteps in the road they took, but it was overall strong and plausibly believable how he became Venom, and I kept thinking how impossible it is to turn someone as good as him to a demented villain before they actually unleashed him in the final arc in season 1

as for them being clueless, one would THINK that they're as clueless as a handful of 1980's Valley girls, but in all reality, they just don't want to rock that Loeb/Quesadilla/Marvel/Disney boat...

Oh, I would wonder if he can figure out he's in trouble without the spider-sense. The stupid that Spidey is stuck with on this show... it burns.

Yeah, that whole "It's for kidzzz" thing they keep saying is a poor excuse for churning out material of iffy quality. I believe Maurice Sendak said it best: "I don't write for children. I write, and then someone says 'that's for children.'"

lol, your nephew sounds like an awesome kid.

This episode was not awesome, which I guess I should have expected since it's entitled "Awesome".

At least Power Man got to be more than just a guy who hits stuff for a change. And Coulson was great. I loved the way he got between the kids and the android and started jiggling his keys at it. And the end when he sternly pointed two fingers at himself then at Spidey. Too bad letting other characters have a personality usually seems to come at the expense of making Spidey more stupid than he should be.

What happened to the Spidey who had some sense of responsibility? Other versions of Spidey did mess up sometimes, but he wasn't a constant screw-up who created his own mess most of the time. And other versions of Spidey actually felt remorse when he did something he shouldn't have done (and it would strengthen his resolve to do the right thing). This new Spidey is only sorry he got caught. He doesn't even care that he did something wrong, for him it only sucked that he got into trouble, he learned nothing, and he will totally do it again.

I guess this version of Spidey is this way because they're trying to make this a fun ride and not a dreary morality tale. But this is not quite hitting the target for "fun", and more on-point for being "super annoying". It wouldn't be dreary to make him a hero worth rooting for and cheering on. The character of a hero is what makes people fans for life. You don't want to dump a bunch of angsty tragedies on him in this show, fine, I can roll with that. You don't want to make him too saint-like, okay, but there's no good reason to make Spidey's character a moronic brat. How many people really want to root for and cheer on a douchenozzle who acts entitled and smug?

Anyway, Ava smacking Sam on the head with a frozen rose was pretty good. Is Sam/Nova ever going to be anything more than Peter/Spidey's ultimate competition for the spot of most stupid and irresponsible character on the show? If this was a romantic comedy, the way Sam and Ava can't stand each other would mean that they're going to be a couple later.

I haven't watched the show in looooong weeks now and from all the commentaries I'm reading here, it looks like I haven't missed a thing...

in fact, from the sound of it, it just seems to be getting worse and worse on a downward spiral that's going nowhere fast...

responsibility is at the core of Spidey's existence and in USM, it seems as if responsibility doesn't mean s**t to Peter...

and it looks like responsibility doesn't mean s**t to the "creatives" in charge when it comes to the character of Spidey himself...

yeah, let's have the little kids out there watching this useless and mindless crap look up to Peter/Spidey as a positive role model... a completely irresponsible jerk in every way possible...

what a complete joke this show has been and is becoming even MORESO...

Spidey has been my favorite character in the world of comics and movies and in all the other animateds that he's ever been in...

this is the first one he's in that just makes me completely embarrassed and ashamed...

but most of all, I'm embarrassed and ashamed of Marvel for putting this stuff out with the lameass excuse that "it's for kids"...

if my daughter was still at that kid's age now, I wouldn't let her get anywhere NEAR this piece of s**t... I just hope my daughter doesn't let my grandkids watch this joke... I wouldn't want them to grow up thinking that this is how Peter/Spidey really is...

a completely irresponsible, immature and incompetent a**hole...
