I think the legacy collections are definitive but I'm really tempted by the restorations. I'm curious to see how well they can do with Frankenstein. I still have the Frankenstein dvd collection. I love the box art and documentaries.

Also wasn't expecting them to release all the originals together. I wonder if they'll do a volume two for the sequels or separate releases.

Another thing I've read is this set will be available in the UK for half the price. I might wait this one out and see where it goes.

That set looks great. I'm tempted to buy this film again.

The US Terminator set doesn't offer any new transfers so it looks doubtful for the UK.

JAWS looks fantastic on blu ray. I can't wait for Titanic.

Just picked up the Walmart special edition of Avengers that comes with the graphic novel. Really nice for the price.

I have the region free JP and whilst I have no idea if the transfer is the same as the American version the picture quality is incredible.

I have a really stupid question, so forgive me for asking. What is Criterion? I see it all the time in relation to Blu Ray movies. I just never knew what that was all about.

They give some of the best transfers a movie can have and usually have great extras that beat most other DVDs/Blu-rays.

For the most part they usually stick to releasing foreign films as well as art type films but also release other movies that they feel are special in some way or another.

A few examples of non foreign/art films are Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Game, The Killing(early Kubrick film) and Island of Lost Souls.

Basically, if there's a movie you want on Blu-ray and it's getting a Criterion release...get the Criterion version.

Look through the library and see if there's anything you might like.
