Jason loves the clubs. I, on the other hand, can do without them. The last time we went he pulled off his shirt and danced on top of a table. It's become this annoying dare-habit of his. I hate to admit but...he is actually quite good at the dancing and works up a sweat. The guys in the room went crazy and started sticking dollars on his skin to see if they'd stick.

It's all in good fun and is mostly harmless but...seeing him grow from this self-loathing closet case to a musclebound hottie who basks in the attention of strange men has been...a bit frightening for me.

I kinda miss the old "Clark Kent" version of him.

That's a good point. I just hope the attention doesn't go to his head. There is this latino guy who has been all over Jason's ass every night we run into him at this particular club. I think he works as a bouncer sometimes; I dunno, he's just always there. Anyway, he's always trying to whisper slick little s*** in Jase's ear in Spanish. Right in front of me, like I'm the Invisible Man or something.

And Jason always blushes.

Then the guy looks at me, smiles and usually walks away.

Okay, but then why would he be dancing half nude on tables--and not getting paid for it by the establishment? I understand he is just having a good time, but...it's like placing yourself in a situation where you could be setting yourself up for failure. He'll say "Caliph, lighten up, I'm just enjoying the new me" but I'm like, "yeah and everyone else is enjoying the new you, too."

One day, one of these cats is going to recognize him in uniform and I'm not going to be around.

And yes, it's great he comes home with me--and he always does. But honestly? I've found myself a helluva lot more self-conscious, territorial and insecure since we got married. And I don't know why.

He doesn't have the jealous streak in him that my prior partner did--which is a good thing sometimes. Not sure if it would phase him at all if I was dancing half naked like that. Jason seems to be proud to show me off. He always says that me being with him makes him look so much hotter in public than he really is--which is not true; he's hot as hell with or without me.

I'll have to think of another tactic to get him to knock it off. I don't want to press him on it further because I think next time we'll get in a fight and this is not worth it.
