It would have helped greatly with the BatCat relationship development if Selina went over to Bruce Wayne and asked/helped him about his knife wound; would've made a good build up of their affection prior to the kiss. But of course Bruce just stands up and walks it off like nothing's happened.

I never really comment much on forums....but wow. I was pleased with "The Dark Knight Rises" despite some notable flaws (reminiscent of Return of the Jedi...it's better appreciated as part of the trilogy). However, I will say...Anne's Selina Kyle...and her chemistry with Bruce/Christian...MADE the movie for me. This particular relationship was spot on. Very, very disappointed there wasn't much more interaction between the two. I loved how Selina brought out another side of Bruce.

The girl seated beside me was totally swooning during the dance scene and she gasped at the BatCat kiss at the end. She made me proud.

Those two together definitely had me wishing they had a whole lot more scenes together.

Nah, I think 'murder' is a strong word. Trying to stop or deter a military-grade vehicle carrying an atom bomb from reaching its destination... Yeah, the guy may have been killed indirectly by Batman's efforts to stop the vehicle, but it wasn't his intention to murder the guy. Incomparable to Selina shooting Bane.

Just like Batman breaking Bane's mask, which was about to kill him. No, it wasn't his intention to murder Bane, but **** happens when your face (that's being punched repeatedly) is covered by a life-preserving gas mask.

She shined in what little screen-time she was given. The development of the Bat and Cat relationship was unbelievably rushed, like pretty much everything else, I guess.

Edit: I also much preferred her fight scenes when she was in costume, to be honest. Just more of a fantasy feel to it. Looked a bit silly when Hathaway was beating up thugs twice her body weight.

I want to know if anyone else thought this while watching the movie:

Prior to finding out Bruce was Batman, it totally seemed like Selina had this crush on Batman. From when we see her smile at the news report of Batman returning during the Batpod chase, and later on when she is in The Bat with him after he rescues her, she seemed to have what looked like a total fan girl look on her face flying around with Batman.

If this is the case, I think it makes the Bruce/Selina romance more believable in that she at least has a reason to be a bit more forward with him taking the initiative to kiss him twice, at the party and right before he takes the bomb away, and prior to this when she asks him to leave and escape with her.

Hehe, those are good reaction. I was sitting bolt upright whenever Anne came onto the screen.

I liked that this Selina used the gun to shoot people. She did what she had to in order to survive. And as said, the guns were taken from other people and used against them. Turning the tables on the opponent.

In the 1970s comics, a series of stories taking place on Earth-Two (the parallel Earth that was retroactively declared as the home of DC's Golden Age characters) reveal that on that world, Selina reformed in the 1950s (after the events of Batman #69) and had married Bruce Wayne; soon afterwards, she gave birth to the couple's only child, Helena Wayne (the Huntress).

Several stories in the 1970s featured Catwoman committing murder, something that neither the Earth-One or Earth-Two versions of her would ever do

the Bruce/Selina wasn't fleshed out enough to be believable IMO. So I'm not entirely convinced they ended up together at all. I guess from reviews here by posters who had seen the film, I was expecting more. Underdeveloped, as was Bruce/Talia's with what transpired when you look at his reaction to her betrayal. Both relationships left me scratching my head.

Those are my thoughts on that.

But, to conclude my thoughts, Anne was amazing. Selina was amazing.

So this movie has led me to register and post thoughts, cuz it was amazing!

I think Anne is BEAUTIFUL, always have, but I wasn't sure she'd be able to hang with the actors in this flick. I was WRONG. She was awesome. I was literally stunned by her performance in this movie.

I was REALLY glad they ended up together. They had a great arc over the length of the movie, where Bruce helped her become the person she was capable of being, and she bacame obviously the only person who deserved someone like him. Plus its total closure for those of us who always wanted them to wind up together in the comics/animated series.

Also, I chose to believe that her and Holly were just close, and not together, for two reasons. One, if you know the comics, it's kinda gross. Two, if they were, it's just the annoying trope of gay women are okay, but they just need the right man to straighten them out.

Also, Selina was totally prepared to abandon her if they were together. She was just going to run, but then came back for Batman. She strikes me as unattached before Bruce.

So yeah, in conclusion, Anne was amazing in this movie, which fits, because a lot of the cast was amazing.

Fox says, "I like your new girlfriend." And she replies, "He should be so lucky."-- to which Fox has a very amused expression on his face. And yes, as Selina's mounting the Batpod she calls Tate his "stuck-up girlfriend". Oh yea, she's totally jealous.

This is an older article I found somewhere on the net that predicts the Bruce/Selina ending and mentions some EXCELLENT points in the trailers, tv spots and an interview with Christian Bale that hints of Bruce's happy ending with Selina. It also makes a really great point about the pearl necklace that never even crossed my mind. A pretty good read that more or less becomes close to accurate in the film:
