Yup he made a comment about the shootings and another political comment in his Mask thread. The comments werent very subtle and it got him banned. What people need to realize is he was warned once for his comments when He and I were battling battle back and forth.

I found him quite rude in general, anyway. I hope "banehardy" isn't him under a new account, as that isn't allowed.

Haven't posted many times or been a member here for long. But in the time I have been here roids did come across as very arrogant and egotistical.
Good costume though haha |

Well it wont be to difficult to figure out if it is or not. "Roids" sentence structure was terrible and almost painful to try and read.

This is gonna be little bit of a venting post but I'm pretty sure everyone here can understand my frustration.
One of my friends posted a picture of all of us at the premiere with me in costume on Facebook and another one of his friends who I don't know decided he wanted one up everybody. Now let me just say I don't think my costume is the best one out there by any means far from it actually but I do feel mine was the best at my theater. Well this guy says the Bane at his theater was better because he was bigger and had a more accurate costume because this guy "made his whole costume". So I see a picture and the entire costume is from Costumebase. Except the mask. That was made by a guy on YouTube who clearly was not the guy in the picture. And I tried explaining to him that this guy did not make his costume and it was bought and I even provided a link to it and he said I was wrong and I didn't know what I was talking about and this guy put more effort to his costume because my jacket wasn't "brown or fluffy enough" (I did the black military jacket version). He also said the vest had "metal plates" Haha what? So this guy really pissed me off to say the least. He then proceeded to say that I didn't put enough effort into my costume and this guy "tried harder". Well that's it. I'm sure everyone here can sympathize with having someone trying to one-up you and trying to put down your costume that you worked extremely hard on and researched a lot and acting very condescending towards you about a topic that they know nothing about. Probably the most frustrating part is this guy didn't even make the costume, it was someone he took a picture with. Ok sorry about that now I'm done. |

Gotta agree with that. Your costume is tops. Especially the vest. On the bright side the guy I was arguing with just stopped replying after I linked him to the mask on YouTube I guess either he's realized that he looks like an idiot or he hasn't seen it yet. My friend actually told me he's extremely stubborn and good luck on trying to make him admit he's wrong. But I think I've done just that.

Also to add to the recent comments, I just want to say that all of the pictures of everyone's costumes on here look amazing. Even if their not 100% accurate that's not what counts. I too have gotten jabbed for a lot of my costumes in the past for not being exact, but who cares? You all looked and worked hard to piece together your things, or if you made it yourself then great, it still takes time either way. You all look awesome and I for one cannot wait for Halloween when my costume will be ready. I think I might do the black jacket that Bread Warrior did, though I can't decide! |

So now that the movie is out its time to start on 2.0 version of the costume for me. I am in the midst of redoing the boots which means soon my 1.0 versions will be for sale. I have my buddy who made my wrist guard on board to help me with the straps on the boots and like always the weathering I will do, I am going for 99% screen accurate this time around. Also the Jacket is a must have for me, I originally didn't want it since in AZ I would probably wear it twice BUT after seeing it on screen it solidified my NEED for it.
On another note I was fortunate enough to meet the original Maker of the Real Mask for the movie, He came up to me and took a picture of me in costume and then proceeded to blow my mind with behind the scenes shots of him making the real mask. I talked to him on the phone the other day and a few more avenues have opened up for me to acquire a 100% screen accurate mask, I wont say yet how but I'll keep you guys updated! |

For all of the people doing the black coat from the beginning, check it out.
http://cdn.walyou.com/wp-content/upl...7738895117.jpg http://us.doublju.net/Doublju-Casual...&searchSize=12 Same company I ordered my Rorschach cosplay coat from, and it arrived in Texas in about 30 hours. Also, a fraction of the cost of the express coat. Last edited by Mysterynigma; 07-23-2012 at 11:22 AM. Reason: Forgot link. |
