Anyone think they should have not included mp and just focused more on extending the single player?

I would have been up for that or even some kind of co-op side campaign mode, smaller in scope, kinda like The Darkness 2's one

Co-Op missions should've been a no brainer. They could've done them as previous jobs with Max and Pasos, or even a flashback mission with Max and Mona. It would've been a blast to play through with a friend.

Eh, would have taken resources away from single player. Gang Wars is essentially a bunch of co-op campaigns anyway. I don't mind that they dedicated resources to multiplayer because the single player was really satisfying, I can't think of many ways in which they could have expanded on it.

I would've taken co-op over the current multiplayer any day of the week, personally.

I don't care much for MP and I'd care even less about co-op hahah. Plus it would offer less replay value and there's not much they can do to monetize it through DLC.

One thing i can't get over is how i'm assuming max payne is being paid a good deal of his money for his security services yet continually was getting smashed while on the job and no one seemed to mind. It's pretty funny.

Just got this from Gamefly, played up to the first NJ part before calling it a night. I'm enjoying it so far. The original Max Payne games are one of my gaming blindspots, so I don't have any comparison other than what I know of the first games and the criticism for this one. I like the style so far and when the gunplay is going well it feels great.
The story is super generic, though. Probably going to spend the 4th shooting dudes.

the story itself is indeed quite generic, it's more about Max's characterization actually.

There are a lot of little, subtle, moments in this game unlike the previous ones that really add to the overall evolution of Max. Especially, if you remember his past outings and how he confronts the present one.

Now and again. I can't play it for ages (the multiplayer at least). I'm not the biggest fan of competitive multiplayer since it's largely just variations of Deathmatch and after a while most deathmatch multiplayer games start to feel a bit samey.
Don't get me wrong, it's fun and I enjoy it (I did give in and buy the R* pass), but I just don't have it in me to play for hours on end. Though I think many would argue that the initial multiplayer had a small selection of maps (and possibly still does after the first DLC map pack).

I just beat the game and I have to say this is by far one of the hardest games I played this game. Granted I played on hard, but most games arent that difficult but this was a challenge. The outdoor graphics were pretty lush and well done and reminded me of Uncharted, although not quite as good
Anyone on the PS3 can help me with two online trophies? I need to invite someone from my friends list and also kill him in a match. |

i haven't played the first two but i loved this the enemy a.i was incredibly responsive and the gun battles were always fun always been a fan of shooters u actually have to plan out your attacks instead of just going in and firing bullets like arnie does in commando ![]() that music in the airport shootout was badass too 9/10
