i've heard good things bout this book. I finally picked up a copy of the reprinted issue 1 this week. If this is half as good as the comparisons to Millar's Utlimates run, I'll be happy.

what your overwhelming patriotism would not allow you to read about a fictional US that is circling the drain?

How exactly does giving soldiers superpowers help a failing US government?

I wouldn't call it overwhelming patriotism, but... well, I am an American. I can only take so much of Millar's blatant anti-Americanism before it becomes completely off-putting. I don't think that's unreasonable.

I think that all those points are nowhere near as obvious as a stove being hot. At no point did you say anything about this being a public thing, and honestly, I don't see how it could help moral, but instead instate far more fear to give beings God-like powers, and cause huge amounts of controversy on top of that, despite a 'failing' government. Also, I didn't mean what I asked as negative, and there was absolutely no way to perceive that. At no point did I say anything bad about the book, except when I was guessing what blader was talking about, you know, interpretation. At no point did I say that myself, just guessing what he meant by what he said. Anything else you need? Amazing what the fanboys get worked up about.
