Topher Grace = best acing of the series. He really brought depth and heart to Brock. Not only did he resemble the character immensely, he stole the show as Venom. I felt he had the symbiote face far too much. Would have liked to have seen Eddie's face showing through th suit more, like say even in every battle or dialogue scene even. Doc Ock was the worst of course, both performance and special effects-wise. Pathetic.

Joke post considering he said Spider-Man 2 is the closest perfect Marvel movie so far: http://forums.superherohype.com/show...3&postcount=23
Can't imagine him thinking that if he thought Ock was so awful lol.

This is tough because I though Molina was great at Doc Ock, both the good and evil side. But there's just something about The Green Goblin that I just love. He was ruthless, psychotic, and thanks to Dafoe, just an all around creepy villain with and without the mask.

I would just refer you to my previous post, Toby was clearly better than any of these new "Spidermen"

Well, maybe the hitchhiker from Fear and Loathing turned to crime and was Uncle Ben's real killer...

I thought Topher Grace did ok as Eddie, but his Venom was poor. He didn't show me the rage and anger that Venom would have. Eddie hates Peter Parker/Spider-man and the symbiote has a burning desire to see Spider-man's death. You'd think that once Eddie and the symbiote combined, the utter anger and rage inside Eddie would increase tenfold. That he'd become almost...unstable,and certainly pyschotic. Instead,he spent most of his time as Venom(a very short 8-10 minutes)cracking jokes.

My personal favorite villain is New Goblin. Maybe the movie didn't handle the plot line flawlessly, but seeing the conflict between Peter and Harry come to a head was the the thing I looked forward to most while waiting for Spider-Man 3. Loved the fight scenes they had, loved that they fought without masks, loved that Peter frickin' dominated Harry thanks to years of experience, and that Harry in the end chose to fight alongside Spider-Man.

I don't think Peter dominated Harry from years of experience but more by the symbiote.

Eh, it could go either way. Peter was definitely more experienced than Harry, who I assume wasn't in too many fights before. His strength from the Goblin serum kept he fighting, but the symbiote also made Peter stronger and willing to do and say things he wouldn't have before. Although, he did give him amnesia without the symbiote lol.
But the whole Harry/Peter dynamic is another case of something that looks great as a story, but just wasn't done effectively in the film. Its the classic idea of best friend turned mortal enemy, turned ally. But the way they did it, rushing the New Goblin, Harry losing his memory, and then being "disfigured but still forgiving Peter, just felt off.

Harry seemed very strong in the first fight though....at least until his dumbass got him to run into a string of web, lol.

Well Peter was more defensive in that first fight. He didn't want to fight or hurt Harry. But I wonder why did he think it would be a good idea to string that web.

Lol. Yah. He tried his best to not hurt Harry but yet he made a string to...what? Trip Harry? Wouldn't that have still hurt him? Lol.

I felt Franco did good in Spidey 3. Its a tossup between him and Octavius. I did like Harry's costume...but I wish more explanation had been given to his design. I have my own headcanon, but something official would be nice.

Doc Ock well because he was one of the only good things to come out of the entire Trilogy.
I though Sandman was pretty cool too though well the effects and stuff. Annoyed me that they made him Uncle Ben Murderer. |
