Try these two: 1/3 elmer's glue, 1/3 super/krazy glue, 1/3 nail polish remover(100% pure acetone), and a small amount of salt and vinegar(to increase it's reaction when exposed to cold air). I would recommend adding some rubber cement for strength. Another formula would be styrofoam, nail polish remover(100% pure acetone), rubber cement, hydrogen peroxide, warm water, and dry yeast.

Acetone and hydrogen peroxide form an explosive called acetone peroxide.

only with the addition of an acidic catalyst though. To be fair though, the styrofoam formula is too brittle to be useful.

No problem. I had to know that when my parents asked me if anything I made would cause an explosion. Luckily I'm not a fan of sulfuric acid.

MarvelFan, I think I am going to try the first formula you just posted. It seems like it MAY do SOMETHING... but... I can't get my hopes up real high. Even something that acts as a type of webbing would be good for me.

Hey guys I started drawing designs with parts from the paintball gun. So far I have the co2 tank, the tachometer and tubes that I will use from a camelbak. All i need to do is add the web formula and the springed trigger and a few more pieces to make it functional. Hopefully I will have the prototype up today with my drawings.

What is capacity of co2 tank ?
And I guess paintball gun uses certain dose of co2 at the one time so it useful for controlling its flowing when you shot the web I think |

let me know how taking apart your gun works. I'm pretty sure my webshooter will use co2 and i'm deciding between the co2 bike tire inflator or a paintball/airsoft gun.

I've been working on this for a few weeks now. I've created a new forum. This one contains all of the research that you guys can use.
http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=389245 It goes over web formula, web shooter, the spinneret, different formulations, and it's only interrupted a few times, so it's as up-to-date as possible. This is the height of the research. I've created a web shooter, but it doesn't handle viscosity very well, and it doesn't contain a spinneret. If you look at the website that iron spider created, you'll see all the parts that I've accumulated in making a web shooter. This is my official resignation as leader of the "web shooter shop class "and "webbing formula" pages. You will not see me any more for at least two years. I leave officially August 8th, so I'm willing to answer questions in my PM's up til the 5th. Finally, I'm leaving Spidey 44, Iron Spider, Nolder, Wadaltmon, and JMA610 in charge of these forums. They are all remarkably bright and studious in their respective fields. Make sure to give them respect, as they know what they're talking about, and have even put me in my place a couple times. Have a good one, and Excelsior! P.s. I'm thinking about selling all of my web shooter equipment including the notebook with my designs in one deal. If anyone is interested send me a PM with what you consider is a reasonable price. Have a good one everybody! ^^ |

To everyone, i just finished the first prototype launcher pressure valve, its not pretty, but it works so far.
To White Widow: I apologize as well, because it looks kind of similar to the minimus, this is unintentional. To everyone again, i am about to post a photo of it. |

I have an idea for a web shooter. Their is a hand pump with fluid on the palm. Then , there is a small chamber that connects to a tube by the bottom, then has a hollow needle valve at the other end of the tube which puncture the co2 cartridge. The co2 then flows throughout the tubing into the chamber. The hand pump is then connected to the chamber by two solvent resistant tubing and two schrader valves. The "spinneret", is a 115 psi safety valve. To activate it, the hand pump will be pressed. The fluid will flow throughout the tubing, down the schrader valve(s), into the chamber with the co2, because the hand pump has been pressed, the chamber is over 115 psi, thus allowing the safety valve to shoot the excess co2 gas, including the web fluid along with it. Tell me what you think!

Er, where? Here? I didn't see it, not even on realwebtech.
EDIT: Speaking of which, who runs the realwebtech site? It slipped my mind, it seems. I want to submit something there. |

maybe you can try even boiling some hot glue sticks in some water at mixed it with the water and then find some way to keep it warm so that it will not dry while in the canister
............just an idea |

Hey the Brand of the co2 tank is JT paintball and I think it is around 20oz. The paintball gun that is being taken apart is a spyder stormer.
