The thing is that with the footage of TDK and TDKR , both times they introduced the villains of the movie . If this basically turns out to be Superman Begins , i just can't see them showing a full sequence because the movie would basically build towards Clark's inevitable introduction as Superman.
And what's the use of introducing the villain when the movie is about Superman.

Although now that i think about it , perhaps the scene of Jor-El fighting Zod , the Jor-El lauching Kal-El into space and the inevitable destruciton of Krypton

Well when they did Batman Begins they did an 8 minute preview with Smallville's season 4 finale so I was thinking more like an 8 min preview with the Hobbit. I don't think they'l do it anyway aswell with Hobbit been about 3 hours long no doubt it'd add to the already long run time.

Yeah I agree they need to promote this movie to its fullest. If memory serves me right Batman Begins had one didn't it?! When is the Superbowl?

I think they did for BB; I can't remember though. Superbowl is normally held during January I believe.

dont think mos will have a prologue showing like tdk and tdkr did simply because when you think about it tdk and tdkr have the same opening

introduction to the villain

Yeah but I was referring to the 8 minute preview like they did with Batman Begins. If the movie starts off with something like an opening for Clark n his powers maybe they'd show that. Tbh I don't think they'l do either of those I reckon it will simply just be a new trailer.

It's going to be weird when the day comes that they release the newest trailer since..unless they use the same Comic Con music, that piece is going to be stuck in my head when I'm watching MOS until some new and better music from Zimmer comes attached to the thing.lol

No it was one from the Thin Red Line by Hans Zimmer, much better than the LOTR music.

ehhhh Begins was the better soundtrack, i like zimmer but i think they need someone else to make it pop. WHhat i wouldnt give to have Williams come back

Thats going to be my same issue Lol I've already associated it with MOS bc I've watched the CCon footage so many times. And it doesn't help that I've never seen Thin Red Line

I'll bet he at least has a basic theme finished by the time of the first trailer, at least I hope.

One thing I'd love to see in the trailer is at least a shot of Krypton.

I think Rises might have been the weakest. Begins felt strongest in my opinion. That was most epic, followed by The Dark Knight.

For me Zimmer's score for TDKR was anything but epic, I thought it was quite bland.

He has written some brilliant scores for other films though so I'm quietly confident he'll deliver the goods when it comes to Man of Steel.

Showed the teaser trailer to my nephews today. They are too young to see TDKR, so I showed it to them on our big screen tv. After the trailer was finished, they still weren't sure if the trailer was for Superman. It was only when the "S" showed up they figured it out.

I'm not exactly sold on Zimmer as composer...I don't care for his Batman themes. I hope it sounds more like The Thing Red Line music used in the Con trailer and not Batman sounding....ugh

Well, according to that one interview in the Score thread, it seems he wants to do something completely different from his usual norm.
