I think The Avengers suit was just fine. And I am a fan of continuity.

He has a 1940's suit and a 2010's suit.

Since Chris Evans and Christian Bale are of same height (approx.) here is some comparison (manip), I have kept them both at their original proportions and same height, It looks to me that Evans may need to bulk up a bit and a better Captain America costume is needed.

Captain was a little thin in avengers compared to when he was in TFA. I think they need to make captain more brutal, fast, and show some more free running skill.

Think if Muhammad Ali and usain bolt had a baby, and then meanwhile David Belle and mariusz pudzianowski met and had a baby. And by some miracle those two babies met and f**ked. Captain Rogers would be the child they birthed.

They need to show captain training more and more and more, to the point where he is pushing the limit of superhuman. Show him lifting ridiculous weight, punching faster and faster, running like an Olympian, and doing gymnastics.

If Evans gets big enough the same suit would do fine, with some minor aesthetic changes. I would rather he wear a much more modern shield outfit for most of the movie, with him donning a new captain suit near the end.

Me too. TFA costume grew on me, but it made sense in the context of the movie, but his Avengers suit was awesome. It just needs some minor changes, IMO. He was also a little smaller in TA, so I'd like to see him get back to his size in TFA.

The cowl just needs to expose his ears and it would be better.

Idk the Avengers outfit Rogers has didnt look that good on pictures , he did look slimmer with no padding to make the illusion he bulked up, BUT....on film Evans and the outfit worked out perfect it looked good and he lpoked pretty bulk I just hope they don't rip off his cowl like last time I kinda took offense to that since the outfit ended up looking pretty good

I really loved the suit in the avengers. He needed to look recognizable and super-heroic in that film. In his solo film they should move back towards the more soldier/spy look, but still make it look like a captain america costume. I'm not interested in seeing a captain america movie where cap doesnt look like cap

Really, if they just pad the Avengers suit (Keep in mind, the First Avengers costume was padded) and change the helmet a bit, he'd look fine.

The costume was TOO TIGHT. Same with Black Widow. The costumes offered no movement and no definition to the muscles Evans has. Besides, they usually put them in a body suit, don't they?

But Cap looked great when he was wearing the blue long-sleeve T-shirt in Avengers.

Personally, I hope they update it with the micro-chain mail like in the John
Byrn/Roger Stern era. I liked the boots and gloves from Avengers.

The helmet needed some more ... metalic look to it? I don't know. Just looked too rubbery most of the time.

Oh, and the star on the back. I think there was just too much blue, overall.
