Characters you'd like to see in future Avengers movies?

And Hawkeye and Widow may not be all that powerful, but that's the point. They're the regular people, the humans, amongst all these gods and aliens and monsters. A team of Thor and Hulk and 6 of Marvel's other most powerful heroes would be boring as sin. You need the different perspectives, the different capabilities, the different strengths and weaknesses, the different personalities.

Plus, knowing you amount to essentially nothing and still giving every ounce you have is in some ways a more heroic act than slinging your awesome hammer at a bad guy's face or blasting them with your awesome suit of armor. That's a theme Whedon's explored in some of his other work that really seems to strike a chord with him. (And would tie in perfectly with one of the two nobly sacrificing their life at some point.)

I'm just saying they wouldn't realistically be of use against "Thanos" hilmself, I'm not saying they don't belong on The Avengers at all.

But I really don't see how they're going to get around the fact that the Inhumans, by all intents and practical purposes, belong in the Fantastic Four universe. That's why I was hoping Fox was going to relinquish their hold on the FF, but it looks like that isn't going to be the case.

I see her as a survivor, someone who's been through a lot because of Bruce/Hulk and her father. Based on TGWTDT, Ms. Mara can pull this off.

Hulk already went beserk in The Avengers, no need for him to revert back to being a loos cannon.

Its a key part of his character. I guarantee he will eventually be a "loose cannon" in one of the movies. His potential for running amok is his defining characteristic.

Maybe you havent read the comic, but hes done a lot of "reverting" over the years.

A Hulk that only poses a danger to the bad guys is a boring neutered Hulk. If you want a safe Hulk, you can always watch EMH or Superhero Squad.

I wouldve liked Scarlet Witch in the sequel, but thats not in the cards. I'll go with Black Panther I guess.

Bringing up EMH Hulk doesn't really help your point either since he's probably the most well received version of Hulk ever (outside of the comics).

My point was that the Hulk will indeed be a loose cannon in ALL the movies he is featured in. This doesnt mean he will constantly run amok, only that the FEAR that he MIGHT run amok will always be there.

And since he already did run amok in TA, we know for a fact that it does translate well to live action. Why wouldnt it? He's done so in every movie so far and will continue to do so in the upcoming tv show and future films.

"green rage monsters" tend to do that. And a few minutes of this won't "get old" with years in between each movie.

Hulk is a loose cannon. Always has been, always will be. If you dont like this, just stick to the kiddie versions.

I don't think anyone would argue that Hulk is a loose cannon, or rather, has to potential to be.

But simply turning him on his teammates would be a feat for film, and would have to be done carefully. You have to do it while maintaining him, or rather Bruce Banner, as a sympathetic character.

Betty already has an actress in the MCU, I doubt they would recast considering they're trying to keep TIH in canon

The only ones that would be a "maybe-might" sort of thing would be Betty or Thunderbolt. I'd like to think they could hold onto Liz Tyler and William Hurt though, if primarily for some sense of continuity.

For what it's worth, there have been "inside source" rumors that William Hurt will reprise his role as Thunderbolt Ross in CA:TWS.

If you want to introduce Ultron, the continuity already contains one "genius" who's inventions routinely fail in spectacularly dangerous ways: Justin Hammer. You got to figure if that guy ever tried to replicate Jarvis, he's pretty much guaranteed to end up with Ultron. I'd love to see Rockwell in a sequel. Supposedly, he's not in Iron Man 3.
