Yes I do have a guy that will be doing art...

I think it's a pretty cool concept, from what I can tell, it's not been done in the DC universe...

I enjoyed Batman: Earth One. Felt like a Pre: Batman Year One, more realistic origin for Batman, or a Smallville Batman where they start from how Batman would likely be in real life, and at the end with them becoming more like there usual counterpart. I actually can't wait for the sequel.

However I can't wait to read this fanfiction because of the few Batman fabrics I have read(especially Batman: Reborn by The Hammer on fanfiction.net) have been enjoyable reads and part of the reason I became interested in Batman.

...seriously? because that makes sense in that it would continue the trend of putting writers i don't care for on character that i love in this series

I'm not entirely sure lix, he mentioned in an interview that he had flash story he wanted to tell that in his words "would probably work as an Earth One graphic novel." but it wasn't an out and out confirmation.

I think GM is doing Wonder Woman. He says he is working on a Wonder Woman project and is already 33 pages in. So that seems to me he is doing the Wonder Woman Earth One series.

I am looking forward to Grant Morrison's Wonder Woman: Earth One. I would like to see what changes he does with her. However I was looking more forward to a Green Lantern: Earth One or an Flash: Earth One (w/ Wally and the star). I only say this because I don't think Morrison will do an sequel to this book.

I want more Batman books in this universe. I've read the first one about 4 times.

Do you think they'll combine them to make a Justice League?

We can only hope. JMS hinted that they may talk about Batman in the next Superman book. They say these books all take place in the same world and are all ongoing. However I am waiting till after JMS and Davis finish the third Superman book to see if that is true or not.

I don't like military bad ass Earth One Alfred. Not one bit. It's a stark contrast to every incarnation of Alfred. He draws similarities to Christopher Nolans Alfred I guess, but only slightly (military background). I think there were several big misteps in earth one. The relationship between Alfred and Bruce being one of them. Alfred not meeting Bruce until AFTER the death of Bruce's parents and Alfred kicking Bruce's ass in the name of tough love were just two of the most bogus things about Earth One. Earth One tried to turn Alfred into Henry Ducard which for me was a huge fail. I like Alfred the way he has been written for over 7 decades. Kind, gentle and wise. The Batman mythos needs that, they already have Batman and Gordon and everyone in between, the hard nosed bad ass role has been filled Ad nauseam.

But making it different is the point.

I highly doubt Davis will do the 3rd book.

I understand that, I just don't agree with that particular area. I am all for a contemporary re imaging, I would just prefer Bruce and Alfred had more of a Master/Servant with subtle underlying of father/son, as opposed to a drill sergeant/snot nosed kid. That's just my personal preference I guess lol

Heres the thing many of us expected Earthone comics to be Dcs ''ultimate line''.What actually has ahppend howver is that Earth one is Dcs ''Marvelized line''.In otherwords Its Dc following the marvel formula of flawed heroes.Marvelizing Superman was tolerable in Earth one but Marvelizing Batman-who is already a marvelized charachter was dumb and Batman earth one is the result.

He's no longer under contract and he's doing a OGN with Waid for Legandary. I'm sure DC wants to get started on a 3rd book ASAP.

Superman: Earth One Volume 2 was great. It gave you some great insight into Clark Kent and why he was so private. I also liked their version of Ultimate Lana Lang (even though she wasn't called Lana although we all know that was her) I liked her though. I also liked the Lois subplot. I also like how the Parasite was written and I loved the introduction of Lex Luthor and his wife. All in all it was a great sequel to a great book and I hope Davis returns to finish the trilogy.

I actually think I would like to have more Earth One books per year. I'd like to see more characters adapted this way.

I dont know what it was but Volume 2 kinda dispionted me.It wasnt bad-far from it but there was to much Marvel comcs characteristics that took out my enjoyment.I cant stand edgy for the sake of being edgy. And lastly whilst its agood story there is little fun in it.
Nevertheless I ll stick to Vol 3.I

I hatet thatt the fact that they are getting rid of the trunks in the next Superman: Eartth One book. EO Superman is the only Superman that still has the trunks and his current costume is the closest thing to the classic costume post new 52.
