The Zachary Levi/Fandral thread

Since it is official, may as well discuss. We been wanting Levi in a superhero role for a minute now, so it did come to pass. Let's see what he does with it.

It's due to his committment to the ABC series Once Upon A Time.

I don't really like recasting, but I like Levi and I think this could work out. Besides, I heard he has the first choice for Fandral but he backed out because of Chuck, which finished its 5-year run recently.

Gonna be interesting to see the height difference on screen. Levi is like 6'4.

lol probably Camera tricks. Actually come to think of it, I don't really remember how tall ANY of the Warriors III are supposed to be, just that they're older than Sif, Thor, Loki and Balder.

They are? That's something I wish they woulda mentioned in the first movie. It would have established them as more than just Thor's sidekicks.

He's finally confirmed it on The Tonight Show that he's playing Fandral. As soon as I saw his new goatee that looked very similar to Dallas' in Thor, I knew he'd be announcing it.

I hope this means the Warrior's Three will have a bigger role.
Not that he's a huge name, but he's fairly recognizeable, and they need some more screen time this go-round

I think Zachary Levi should've been saved for a bigger role in a Marvel movie instead of just a replacement for a supporting cast. He seems more like he could be the protagonist in a movie who goes through some kind of journey himself. I'm not sure who he would've been, but Fandrall seems a bit too low profile for his talents.

He'd have the personality for Wally West Flash, but he'd probably be the tallest unless they get a taller Superman, which they haven't. It doesn't seem right for Flash to be taller than the rest.

Well he was originally cast in the role for Thor, maybe it's something he wanted to follow through. And well, Ray Steveson has been Punisher and plays Volstagg so it doesn't necessarily stop him playing someone else in the future.

I was watching that show (and I loved it). I didn't notice he was on Thor. I only found out he was on the movie when I looked at Wikipedia. And I was looking forward to see him in Thor 2, then the news came. Oh Well.

Considering how freakishly tall Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are they need tall actors for costars anyways.

I would assume, but sorta pointless right now since it takes like an hour to change his hair color. Probably should enjoy his dark hair for right now. And hey just because he's playing Fandral doesn't mean he can't be another superhero/comic book character one day. I mean Evans Is like on 3 or 4 now.

Josh Dallas wasn't able to return due to his commitment/obligation to the tv show "Once Upon A Time" - so they had to recast and managed to get Levi (which I personally find nice since he was originally approached for the role for the first Thor film, but had to turn it down due to his commitment to Chuck)
