Is Thor the best Marvel Studios movie so far?

The Avengers and Thor were pretty close for me. Both were great but for different reasons. If it's mostly action you want, then the Avengers. If a little of everything (action, scenery, drama, acting and storyline) ...it's Thor. Same with Iron Man, but just a bit less than Thor, for me. Overall, the Avengers comes in right in the middle of those two.

Captain America just didn't do it for me. Too cheesy in acting and visual.

As a movie, I say it is tied with Iron Man, but I like this one better. Thor and his world just fascinate me more than Iron Man's character and universe, so Thor has better replay value for me.

Out of this list yes,Captain America is a close second for me.I would say Thor is even the best marvel comicbook character ever made into a movie.

Thor edges out Iron man because Loki > IM's villian's/rogues gallery. Thats not even including the Frost Giants, the destroyer and Shield all getting in Thor's path.

This was such a hard decision but I had to vote for Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark!!! Thor was my second choice though.

Outside of The Avengers. Thor is my favorite Marvel Studios film so far, and thats coming from someone who wasn't a huge fan before and only had basic knowledge of the character. Now I'm definitely a fan because of this film and already have several Thor trades up on my wish list I plan on picking up in the near future(money is tight!).

Looking over everyone's list, ain't it amazing how people see things differently? I, for the life of me, just don't "get" the Captain America movie, but some others really like it and put it up there before Thor and Iron Man (shaking my head). The first two-thirds of that movie I was bored to tears.

RDJ's Tony Stark is basically RDJ in an armored suit, but Hemsworth actually turns himself into The God of Thunder.

I agree that Hemsworth did a fantastic job as Thor. And are you saying RDJ suffers from the same superhero condition Hugh Jackman as Wolverine suffers from? Anyway, Avengers is the best by far. Then:
Iron Man(great superhero film)
Captain America(The cheesiness worked and it really put you in CA's world. Plus Chris Evans is no longer Human Torch to me.)
Thor(The Asgard parts were very entertaining and it was a great way of bringing Thor to life)
Iron Man 2(Not the best but I prefer this to Incredible Hulk)
Incredible Hulk(Meh. Well, actually this was very entertaining but I hated the way the Hulk and Abomination looked. Hulk was vastly improved on in Avengers. Mark Ruffalo was also a bit better in the scientist motif. And Betty was just annoying. No offense intended.)

Disappointed how?

I feel the same way when someone says Captain America is the best.
