Not a fan of the horror genre, as we know it today but appreciate atmospheric and psychological horror such as Psycho, Nosferatu etc.

My sister agrees.
I never thought I could even fathom it, but her logic was simply "cause the old ones are old, and the new ones are bad." ...it makes sense in some ways.

Modern day horror sucks so bad. It's disgusting. The old horror flicks though, are pretty good.

Same. I hate horror movies, they just aren't for me. I don't get any kind of enjoyment out of them, never have, never will.

Not a fan of horror either. There are a few exceptions, like Psycho, Carrie, the first Halloween movie, and Scream, but I really dislike the genre, especially today's horror movies relies way too much on bumping up the sound for jump scares than visuals.

Since everyone is talking about horror films and I'm a huge fan of them...
Rosemary's Baby is incredibly overrated. |

Terminator 3 is better than Salvation. T4 failed to justify its existence.

you know, I saw the trailer for that movie V/H/S that everybody was raving about, I didn't think it looked all that special. to me it seemed like every other captured footage horror film where they compensate for the total lack of tension with LOUD NOIIIISSSEESS!!! seriously, there's some woman screaming like every 5 seconds in that trailer.

Salvation did nothing for me, the only interesting thing was the CGI Arnold, which I thought it was cool to finally see where the Terminator comes from. |

I'm no Star Wars fanatic, but I acknowledge the old trilogy, the prequels suck.
Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey are still, the best science-fiction films. |

I think the Green Lantern movie would've benefitted from less time in outer space rather than more.

Ghostbusters is okay. Bill Murray isn't that funny. All 3-D animated movies are mediocre and soulless, especially Pixar movies. It's difficult for me to call them animated when most Pixar "animators" don't even draw anything (what exactly is the difference between the visuals of Avatar and a Pixar movie?). Quentin Tarantino's best film is Kill Bill Vol. 2 (he also believes this). In fact, Kill Bill Vol. 2 is one of the best movies of the 21st century, if not all time. I'm automatically disappointed in a director if their movie is color corrected and has the same teal/orange color palette that most Hollywood movies have these days. Die Hard isn't that great. Nor are any of the Indy movies. As action "classics" they pale in comparison to any 80s or 90s movie from Hong Kong, like Police Story or Hard Boiled.

AMEN!
Mine is that I really don't see the hype with Chris Nolan's Batman films. I've seen them all, and was let down each time. They had their moments, but I'm not crazy for them like other people seem to be. I enjoyed them for what they were, but in my opinion, they could have been much better. My other one is that Superman Returns was a good film. What can I say, I'm the new Armond White LOL
