There's a great storyline involving him using Ragnarok. makes sense they'd at least HINT at Balder in passing.

Think about it. Loki was never told about his liniage and it made Odin look like a jerk. Now if they do the same with Balder by HIDING the fact that his death means the end of the universe at least MENTION that's why his NOT there.

Yeah, that's in London a few days ago. He isn't hiding in his sparetime the last weeks. Pictures hit the internet from Madrid, LA, Australia, with baby India, without... Man, that guy can't take a walk without getting catched by photographers.

true but nearly all characters have become more powerful over time anyway. as what was huge becomes routine something bigger has to be added. i see the MCU as around 60s MU power levels at the moment. so they've got a lot of room for growth yet. in ironman's case i become concerned that they are getting to extremist too fast. thor and hulk have plenty of room for growth. cap just need fresh choreography constantly. similarly for the villains. loki is doing similar magic to that that he was doing in the 60s at the moment as well.

I have a feeling that Thor is going to learn how to open portals with Mjolnir in TTDW, he also might even pull off a god blast.

Those are really the only other powers I can see them including in Thor's franchise, although we might have to wait for Thor III to see him use a god blast.

With Marvel adopting the Extremis and Winter Soldier storyline, I feel Thor 2 isn't getting enough love. But this is definitely the phase 2 movie I'm most psyched about. The first was one of the most funny, charming, and well acted films of the previous year.

I've seen just about every incarnation of Thor from multiple mediums, and the Hemsworth's/MCU's take is by far my favorite. Hope to god they make at least ten of these lol

I'm curious though, does Thor have any storylines that are widely recognized and beloved by his fans and comic book readers like Iron Man and CA have with their respective storylines that are being adapted into their next films?

Of those, I'd be happy with the journey to Hel. Surtur needs to wait until the third movie and I'm not interested in seeing Bill yet. Thor needs to be the only one wielding Mjolnir for now. Otherwise, he doesn't seem as unique.
