Or the other version: Heat vision and a special kriptonian metal from his rocket-crib.

Pfft. You don't know what you're talking about. Ryan Gosling would make an amazing Wonder Woman.

Dunno if he should, looks good with it.

Anyhow, I seem to remember a thing in the comics where a shard of his lifeboat/ship's metal is able to cut his hair, and he fashioned it into a razor for shaving.

That or the old reflective heat vision and a mirror trick.

If you’ll indulge a science-geeky digression … this “explanation” is problematic.

We know that Superman’s hair is exceptionally durable - e.g., Supes can emerge from a nuclear blast with his locks fully intact. So if heat vision can shave a super 5-o’clock-shadow, it must produce an energy that exceeds the internal temperature of stars. But that intensity would likely ignite Clark’s apartment and several city blocks (unless… he shaves in space? ). Also - while mirrors can reflect a certain range of laser energy, exceptionally powerful lasers burn through them. And we have to figure that Supes’ heat vision (strong enough to trim super hair) is even more powerful. So a mirror couldn’t do the job.

My solution: Jor-El packed a Kryptonian Bic razor in his son’s space ship.

Or we can just accept the lack of logic like we have many times before in our CBMs. Not everything has to be based in science because then it wouldn't be fun. It would be a fun scene to see, so I hope they disregard the logicality of the situation.

Guess you're right. He'd make a killer Zatanna too. Just imagine Gosling in fishnets.

If we accept the "aura" as explanation for Superman's indestructibility, then maybe Supes can control that aura, so that when he has to shave he can make it so low that a heat vision could be used for shaving.

My other suggestion (if we don't want to use the "aura" explanation) maybe he shaves using a low powered (non lethal.) kryptonite crystal, he got from his ship.

Considering the realistic take were getting in Mos,i expect a better explanation as to why no one recognises that clark and superman have the same face.Glasses or no glasses. My guess is it will be explained as some form of kryptonian voodoo. One theory of mine was that the Super-suit is made of alien material that mesmerises all those who behold it,so they cant recongnise the face of the person who is wearing it.

I am ashamed to admit that the SHININESS was what gave me the idea of the suit being able to memerise people.

Or, it can be he can control the accuracy enough so that he can shave without setting things on fire.

You know, like how a MLB pitcher who throws 95MPH fastballs can still toss his keys without breaking a window?

don't know about anyone else but i want superman in MOS to go berserk on zod in this film because unlike a thor or a wolverine who are always rebellious and berserk like when superman does goes berserk it will have more impact because he is always so humble and nice kind of how great it was when reeve got mad and screamed when lois got killed

But the heat-vision-and-mirror business ends up being a “logical” and “science-y” “explanation” anyway. And the specificity of the “explanation” tends to invite scrutiny or further questions - the very things that work against a “don’t ask, just embrace the fantasy” approach.

I say keep it simple - use some kind of Kryptonian gizmo. Or just ignore the problem altogether - a super speed quick-change also entails a super speed shave (and we're fine not knowing the details ).

Every power Superman has has been given a rational explanation based in real world physics, as goofy as it is. The flight isn't really flight, etc.

Yeah, since Zod will have powers it would be great to see him 'cut-loose'

I think Mocap guy will either turn out to be
1.A Phantom zone monster under Zod/Faoras control
2.Doomsday.
3.A new version of Parasite.
