I don't consider any of the Sony or Fox output to be real Marvel films.
That's a fair assessment but I still put them down documenting their downward spiral as proof as to why they're not worthy...

You and I are in total agreement, both in terms of the ranking and of the opinion that those are the only TRUE Marvel films.

X men 2 alone is better than Thor and Cap put together I'd say they are more than worthy.Avengers is the only marvel studio movie that's on the same level as First class,X2,Spiderman 2

Every MS movie is better than First Class.

And no way is The Avengers "on the same level" as X2 and Spidey 2, they're both held back by something big that The Avengers gets so right.

1. Iron Man (Probably my second favorite superhero film of all time) 4.5/5
2. The Avengers (While I think it is a little overhyped, it's still awesome) 4.5/5
3. The Amazing Spider-Man (Weak villain, but everything else was fantastic) 4/5
4. X-Men: First Class (Side characters were but overall great movie) 4/5
5. Everything else, besides maybe X2

Thank god someone else said it,, I totally agree on Avengers.. It was good but way overhyped IMO... i swear some scences in Avengers reminded me of the Dolph He-Man movie. It was good so dont pile on me.

I don't think it was overhyped at all, it sure as **** was better than The Dark Knight Rises.

I think Spider-Man 2 is one of the best superheroes that's been made, but in the case of X2, pacing. The Avengers moves at decent pace, while X2 really starts to drag in the middle.

Right! because they were so close to the comic-books unlike X-Men: First Class!

I find it difficult to rank things like this because it suggests trying to apply arbitrary numerical values to films which I hate to do. However, I think the Avengers, Spider-Man 2 and possibly X-Men First Class rank above the others. I haven't seen X2 in a while though so I don't know whether that also belongs in the top 3.
