And again, I'd be entirely happy with Eve, I just really want her for Enchantress.

My guess is she will need to be both hot and a good actress. Alice Eve doesnt have a big track record, but she's been good in what Ive seen her in. Strahovski is amusing on that show i never watched (Buck?), a bit more rugged.

Honestly there are plenty of actresses who could do this. Not really concerned.

I really have no problem with characters having different ages than the comics. Every adult character is 20-35 years old in the books. The MCU can ignore this. I like the idea that the characters are joining the story at different points in their life. A Ms. Marvel in her late 30's wouldnt bother me in the least. Especially if she's part of an ensemble.

I wouldve been fine with an older Black Widow. Generally, actors in their 30's are just more interesting. Wonder Woman is really the only major female hero that requires a relatively young actress.

I think they almost have to since they just started this "female empowerment" vibe just last month. You can't backtrack and call the character Ms. Marvel and have her showing leg for no reason after you do that.

As far as "get there first", are you referring to the DC Captain Marvel/Shazam! ? Because that guy would never be an easy sell with audiences, if you ask me...

He's a far more famous character than Carol Danvers...and they've been kicking around a Shazam movie for several years. Supposedly, it's on their slate.

I could see Marvel making the move to have that name associated with their films.

I just can't see the audience that is used to Iron Man or the new Batman movies going in for a movie about a teenage kid who gets a magic ring that transforms him into Captain Marvel when he shouts "SHAZAM!" I for one would be making fun of it and comparing to Kazaam! immediately, myself.

I'd kind of expect them to call it Shazam, anyway, not Captain Marvel. I don't think there's been a thing with him since the '70s where Shazam! wasn't used in the title in some way or another (sometimes people just straight up call him Shazam as his name...)

I don't think it's impossible to have the classic black Ms Marvel costume on screen.They already have Black Widow in the full jumpsuit.I doubt they'll want to have the two female heroes dressed identically.

I really just think the best way to do this is to give Carol a copy of Mar-Vell's costume. No ****ty modifications, just the same costume. It would make sense if she wound up as the next Captain Marvel at the end of the film.
