Zod needs a gimmick where he uses Z's for everything. So it'll be a Zpider. Kids'll eat that up.

It actually is a nod to All-Star Superman.

So add Mark Valley to the list of Superman actors, he's playing Superman in the animated Dark Knight Returns part 2. Unfortunately Superman doesn't come off looking great in that story as we all know.

David Goyer does a lot of that, which is why the Batman films also have many references to many of Batman's best stories.

I am sure that Goyer will add many references to superman stories, he added tons of nods to batman stories in TDKR.

Goyer has already mentioned that he liked Superman: Earth One, Superman: Secret Origins, All Star Superman, Superman Birthright and Bryne's Man of Steel.

I also expect some nods to Brian Azzarello's Superman: For Tomorrow.

I know, but I like to pretend that Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan put that in for the lols.

I won't be watching any trailers of this movie or teasers. I saw the first teaser at TDKR but that's as far as I'm going to go. I'm trying to go into the movie as fresh as it can be. Trailers nowadays show way too much. It really ruins the experience.

More power to you, I know exactly what you mean, Prometheus' trailer was the latest one I can think of which gave so much away.
But that said, no way do I have the willpower to not watch the next trailer we get for MoS, I'm eating up any and every bit of information we get about this film about the film.
Granted that tactic isn't making the wait any easier....

After the utter disappointments of Prometheus and TDKR, I too have decided to stop watching any and all trailers for movies I look forward to. Images have a way of cheapening themselves after you watch them dozens of times in the trailers, leaving no emotional impact upon viewing them in theaters.

All Nolan-Goyers movies are filled with nods/ references to comics, GL movie also had references to his comics, and I am sure that MOS will have them too.

Zack [Synder] puts a lot of time in post-production, like all his films because he's such a visual stylist, and there's a lot of computer-generated effects. Haha, did you expect anything different. I think a lot of studios have learned there lessons when it comes to the actors speaking about particular aspects because fans blow things out of proportion for no reason. I'd rather they say nothing at all to be honest.

Because the logic on the internet runs like this, cavill says he likes the red son comic ---> person reads it and thinks that the movie will be based on red son ---> message board posters believe the movie is based on red son and begin to cry out about what a bad idea this is.

Fairly vanilla interview, but at this point, we can't expect much more, as no one wants to reveal too much information at this point. I'm sure lots of work is being done on post production right now, I'm dying to see some official images of Zod as well as Faora.
