So what do you guys think about kurse?

Do you guys think he will be physically the strongest character in the MCU so far?

He is going to have to be right? Thor went toe to toe with Hulk. Kurse is really just brute strength. And if Kurse is suppose to REALLY give Thor a challenge, and all he has is brute strength,then he is really going to have to be freakishly strong

He is twice as strong as Thor.

This is the from the comic where Thor 2 story will come from.

Kurse is stronger than Thor, Abomination, Base-line Hulk, and Iron Man. He should be an absolute beast.

And where could they possibly go after Surtur? Surtur is Thor's final boss battle.

I'd have Malekith and Kurse work as agents of Surtur, setting up the big man for Thor III.

There are other elements to a fight besides raw power. Skill, luck, and smarts would all play a factor. Hopefully there's nothing too convenient in the fight.

I love seeing heroes get beaten up, as long as they eventually triumph over the villain(they normally do). I really want to see Thor going through some painful ****, as well as Kurse. These guys can take and dish a lot of brutality and pain so I want them to go all-out.

Combat skill. Being stronger than someone doesn't equal a win.

Abilities like having unlimited Stamina helps also.

That's one of the things that cracks me up about Hulk and Thor. They never get tired during fights. There punches and blows have the same amount of force toward the end of the battle that they do at the beginning of the battle.

I've read it. But he will be 4 times if anything as strong in the movie. Kurse was twice as strong, Thor fought him with the belt of strength, then got another amp in strength from the beyonder.

More than likely, for the sake of an opposing villain, he will be 4 times as strong.

Which would make him the strongest character we have seen yet.

Yeah same. I want it to be clear that if he chooses to stay going toe to toe, brawling with his hammer, that he is outmatched, thus reverting to his other powers.

No, the Midgard Serpent is Thor's final boss battle. That's the one fated to kill him at Ragnarok. Surtur is *Odin's* doom.

Well I don't, I'd like to see Thor fighting a losing battle until he pulls out all the stops but he's too skilled to just get pulverized.

That's why there's not going to be a *final* film....it's an open-ended series, remember?

But even if they did try to trilogy Thor (god forbid they try to trilogy *any* of the MCU), you've got to admit that you can't get more cinematically epic than Thor battling an unimaginably huge dragon to the death.

Honestly...I'd be pretty worried if the goal within the MCU in general was to go in with the mindset of constantly making as many films as they can for these characters within the same continuity since:

1. The role is likely to be recasted and Idk about you guys, but I'd have a hard time adjusting to the new cast members who've taken on roles that were solidified by others for a long period before they came on board. I know people will bring up the Bond Series as an example, but honestly, isn't one of the goals for all of these films to help audiences get connected with these heroes during their solo adventures before getting more excited in seeing them work together in the Avenger films? I mean, it could all be in the same continuity, but you can easily lose the emotional investment that the audience had within a character for 3 films once you recast that character after that many films.

2. Plus, there's only so far that they can go with threat levels before everything becomes redundant, unoriginal, and similar.

I guess the Bond films became redundant, unoriginal, and similar in the 60's. Why the hell didn't they stop making them and reboot back then?

Well, it's not that hard to argue that the latter Bond films with Pierce weren't exactly the best in quality to say the least.

And plus, continuity has never really played a strong role within most of the films (I know that it has in some of them).

And honestly, back when they were coming out, could people actually say that they were invested in Pierce's Bond in his first film like they were in Roger Moore's one because of how the same character had been shown in several films before then? It took time for each new actor to gain the investment of their generation's audiences.

Plus, I'd hope that the MCU would be more ambitious with the future of their films. Let's say for example, that The Avengers save the galaxy for the first time in the sequel or the third film and that MS really went all out with it. How do they make the stakes bigger? The next film in a franchise should be about how they raise the stakes for these characters..whether it be emotional or physical ones and there's only so far that they can go imho before it treads back into a territory that was covered.

It will be interesting to see what they do with Kurse power wise, if he is faithful to the comics he will be the most powerful character we have seen yet in terms of strength, I hope he is portrayed that way.
