I actually didnt like that shot. Something about it looked strange. The evening sky made it look tacky, I think. Like a TV-movie. Along with the slo-mo zoom. But I guess the shot wasnt done visually.

It looked comic bookish to me.They didn't seem to be moving exactly. It was a quick shot.We have to wait and see what that's all about.Maybe it wasn't done.

Obviously its too early to call, but I know what you mean about that shot. It's the shot that least looks like everything the teaser trailer set up, and most looks like a Zack Snyder shot. But again, its early days and I wouldn't be surprised if that shot's FX were still being worked on at the time of Comic Con.

I just pray that it looks epically real! I don't want it to look overly cgi laden. Chronicle was a good example as mentioned above. I'm just curious how it will look with Superman flying really fast because in the CC footage it was kinda blurry

Even though it was unfinished footage, I thought it looked really awesome. Not made-for-TV in the least.

Some parts of Chronicle looked good and some looked okay. I hope MOS can match the good scenes cause when it was good it was pretty good.

I want to see flying shots that look a bit more unique. The only flying shot we got reminded me a bit of the SR look. Still can't wait cause this should be a very good film!

It did remind me of the shot where he explodes from the top of the Daily Planet building in SR after flying up the elevator shaft.

Isnt that just because of the sound barrier-vapour? Because the shot from MOS looks a helluva lot more dynamic and intense. The shot from SR doesnt have any energy in it in comparison.

I'm assuming you saw the footage via bootleg like most folks, so you have to take the low quality into account. More important to remember, though, is that a VFX shot like that was likely rushed for the Con trailer and not actually finished as it will be for the film.

There you have it folks, Rust knows more about color composition and special effects than the teams of artists at WETA.

That's fine. Main thing is, though, that shot could have been rushed just for that trailer, to the point where it bears only minor resemblance to the finished shot. It is possible. I cut a trailer earlier this year that had a number of shots that were unfinished, and most were delivered as temp renders that varied considerably from the final product. Different movies, I know, but it happens a lot with VFX-heavy films.

Saw the better quality of the bootleg, and damn, that thing looks great. All those extra action shots in there really got me excited for a Superman movie we haven't seen before. Also really puts into perspective where they're headed with the film.

You serious? Give me a break, pal. Just because it's made by professionals doesnt mean I have to like it. Not everything in the LOTR-trilogy looked amazing, you know. **** off!

Is there another Comic Con coming up where we might get something new?

I am the biggest "man of steel will be the best movie ever" advocate, but I have to agree with Rust, that shot just doesn't look good. I'm sure it'll be fine in the film, but it isnt now. No need for hostility.

I'm with Rust as well. It's quick, but it didn't look good to me either. Of course it'll look better for the movie, though. It's Zack ****ing Snyder!
