Who would you let Joss Whedon kill in Avengers 2?

You know how much it would cost to have Hulk onscreen for all that time? They'd need pull like Cameron does in order to maintain that much CG for a couple hours. The question is would they spend the money.

I'd say Nick Fury. Have him die at the end of 2, only to reveal in A3 or a Phase III postcredits that he faked his death to go underground. Maybe set up some Secret War or Skrull Invasion sort of deal.

Oh yea no doubt it would be a lot, but considering it probably won't come out for 4 years at the earliest it will be cheaper to do than it would be now obviously...film/games are pushing mo-cap further and further so the technology is way cheaper and easier to do than say when they made Norton's hulk movie.

And the nice thing is that it is basically a standalone picture...so it wouldn't necessarily have to come before or after any of the other Phase 3 films and they make sure it's done correctly.

A Ruffalo Hulk movie vs The Leader and another villain is much more likely, but a Planet Hulk adaptation for the MCU would be incredible if they could pull it off.

But obviously them doing it would be tied to how phase 2 goes, all the Hulk films have disappointed at the Box Office..and this is different enough to maybe change that...but it would be risky for sure.

I'd like to see a Planet Hulk film. imo after the events of Avengers 3 (sue me for being optimistic)

It'd be just fine because no one will care if Ruffalo is 55 years old in a film so dedicated to the Hulk. Whether we see a World War Hulk is kind of hit or miss for me. But if it means post Phase 3 films I'm lovin the idea.

That's a good point, Avatar was 1 third non-CGI, and it ended up costing around 300 million. A Planet Hulk movie, where Hulk is the dominant character and Banner just sort of comes in for a few scenes... that's gonna be something similar. Not gonna happen. Maybe Marvel Studios can team up with Dreamworks and do a CGI film... since that's what it's going to be anyway, right?

I figured characters that are more humanoid and some of the more creature-ish ones could be done via live action and animatronics, etc.

If its post-Avengers 3 like I said, thats over 6 years from now. That kind of CGI will be run of the mill in 6 years.

If anyone is concerned about Ruffalo's screen time in a Planet Hulk film, he could come in and talk to Hulk in dreams or when he is alone on screen. That could be really cool in my opinion.

Am I the only one who wants a World War Hulk movie(s)? If it has the same scale as the comics, half a billion should cover it. Maybe you could film PH and WWH back to back and produce 2 three hour movies for 800 mil and change.

Yeah, I never understood the argument about Joss killing people off so much because they either don't stay dead, come back in a dream, come back in a flashback, come back in a new demon for and/or part of a villain's plan or appear in flashback. He's great about a character still being important even if they actually STAY dead.

Oh yea your right. The actor that played Lorne died. It was Doyle that died and didn't come back. He just passed his powers on to Cordelia.
