Kitty could travel back in time phisically, its sci-fi, so it would be the perfect solution. If not her, I preffer a new mutant from the future, like Bishop or somelse.

I hope they would go with a mutant we haven't seen before to join Wolverine. And I want it to Bishop.

I know people want it to be Shadowcat to stay true to the comics but for me, I just think Shadowcat was irrelevant and not important during the first three movies. She just got cameo roles in the 1st two movies and then in the 3rd movie, her sole purpose in the movie was to make Rogue jealous. She was kinda a random addition to the X-Men team in the third movie.

Bishop would be good. What would his powers be? How would they be made to be different from Sebastian Shaw, whose abilities to rechannel energy were more like Bishop?

Yeah his powers are very similar to Sebastian Shaw and visually, in the comics, his powers looks similar to Havok's power.

But I don't think we have seen someone in the X-Men movies blasting energy beams through their hands, so that would look new. Plus he also has an energy gun.

For being another guy on the X-Men team, Bishop has a history in the comics/cartoons of time traveling. He was from the future where mutants were abducted by the Sentinels and he traveled to the past to work with the X-Men to prevent things that are going to happen in the future. So its only fitting that they include him in this movie as one of the people from the future.

Something tells me we will not get a time travel plot. Instead, perhaps it will involve Magneto trying to assassinate the president, or someone else in power, and the ramifications it could have on mutant kind. Similar to the comic, but not going off the deep end with time travel.

I doubt they could make a Days of Future past film, titled as such as well, without including time travel. Otherwise how would the characters see consequences, cause and effect, an event to be altered and stopped?

I agree, there's no way they'd touch this title if there's no time travel involved. Plus it makes for such an epic film, combining the franchises is too great an idea to pass up. Look how giddy it's made everyone!

Yeah I dont see how they can get out of the time travel thing. The whole idea is stopping on Alt future. Have to go back in time somehow to do that.

I don't know which tidbit is more exciting...that Patrick Stewart might be in the new First Class film, or that two of the greatest captains of the USS Enterprise might be having dinner together!!!! (I'm taking all of this with a grain of salt, mind...)

I wrote an article for my blog about this except instead of Nimrod I thought Apocalypse would be a cool choice. Apocalypse's mutant power would be time travel, and everything else he could do as far as super powers go would be genetic modification from future tech and weapons from the future

Also including cable would possibly alter history to undo the death of Jean Grey and Cyclops in X3 (I'm still sore about that)

Sir Patrick Stewart: 'Yes, I'll Be Reprising' Xavier


Sir Patrick Stewart closed out the 2012 Montreal Comic Convention by offering up a tantalizing tease for fans of the X-Men film franchise. If his recent nod at an Apple store seemed to suggest he’d be returning to the silver screen in the role of Professor X, when asked directly by a fan during his Q&A panel, the Englishman gave a knowing smile and spoke the words many have been waiting to hear: “I think there is every possibility.”

He proceeded to enthusiastically run down the list of his female co-stars: “Halle Berry! Famke Janssen! Rebecca Stamos! Anna Paquin!” The crowd roared back with delight, opting not to point out his mistake regarding Rebecca Romijn’s current last name. He continued, saying “yes, I’ll be reprising...” only to be cut off by his son Daniel, who proceeded to throw out the names of his father’s male co-stars, Hugh Jackman and Sir Ian McKellen.

Whether this means Stewart knows for a fact that the other main actors in the franchise will also be reprising their roles is uncertain, though it was definitely implied. Rumors of a fourth installment in the series have been swirling since the release of 2006’s The Last Stand, which was met with harsh criticism from Marvel fans for its handling of the Phoenix Saga and abrupt off-camera death for James Marsden’s Cyclops. They will certainly find it curious for Janssen to have been mentioned during Stewart’s impromptu roll call, since her character Jean Grey seemingly died for good at the end of X3.

Perhaps the more likely scenario is a cameo or smaller role in the new X-Movie franchise. The next film in the X-Men line will feature characters from both the past and the “future” present-day. The follow-up to X-Men: First Class will be loosely based off the story “Days of Future Past,” meaning that while the central cast includes the young versions of Professor Xavier and Magneto, their older, future, counterparts could also appear alongside them in the film.

Uh god I hope not. I hate digital touch-ups on actors. Why on earth would Charles grow a nose from one movie to the next anyway?

I must add that it's a known medical fact that noses (and ears) appear to get bigger when people get older.

I heard it on a recent TV show. That's because the nose has ligaments, cartilage and skin that start to stretch and droop and make the nose look bigger and longer! Or he could have had a touch of gout!

it they did something like this in the first movie, it'd be one thing, but to change he's looks one movie to another would be too noticeable
