Many actors who started as TV actors are now working in movies.

For example - Chris Evans and Henry Cavill.

TV isn't a dirty word anymore regarding acting ability.

Exactly, Bridget Regan can tear this role apart given the chance, better than anybody else.

What is she,a whole 29 years old? She's got plenty of time for a film trilogy.Michelle Pfeiffer was a few years older when she played Catwoman, and she was supposed to get her own film as well.

I think a character like WW is supposed to be a somewhat more mature woman.Late 20's/early 30's sounds about right to me.I admit her window of opportunity isn't going to stay open forever. Make the movie already!

We're talking about youth-obsessed Hollywood here. When it comes to actresses (specially in a high profile lead role) 29 is old. And Pfeiffer was already a big name when Burton cast her in BR. As I've said, I'll be elated if Regan gets the part. But it's highly unlikely. I could be proven wrong. I can only hope.

I'm with NigelHalsey. I would love for her to get the role. She really does encapsulate what I'd want in the role way more than say a Gina Carano (no offense to her fans) so if they are going to go for a semi-unknown she would be idea but still very unlikely.

How about Jessica Stroup as Wonder Woman? She's 25 and 5'8".

Lol Bridget Regan and Emily Blunt are pretty much the same age. If Regan's time has passed, than so has Blunts :P

Regan would be so amazing. Then get Chris Pine for Flash. So much win would be had for D.C. But no, we gotta wait 2-3 after a 2015 Justice League with WB/DC's backward ass plan.

Carano is signed to 3 movies in the works.... By the time WW comes out, providing she's memorable in at least one movie, she won't be an unknown... Let's she what else she gets signed on for...she might be too busy for WW..

Yes I'm VERY interested to see how Gina turns out! Lets see if she can prove she can act so these "omg WW doesn't need to look and act like she can fight, she needs to be all compassionate and warm and teddy bear!" people can shut the hell up already.

I know she's a little short but, if WB/DC go with a known actress how about Zooey Deschanel as Wonder Woman?

Well, I've never heard any rumblings from TPTB about Blunt being considered for WW. But for the sake of argument, the geniuses over WB would, in all likelihood go for a 'better known' actress as opposed to someone whose only claim to fame is a co-starring role in a now-cancelled (albeit beloved by fans) TV show.

Again, I'm in agreement with you that Regan is more than capable of donning the legendary tiara, but because of, as you put it, 'WB's backward ass plan', it really is highly unlikely. These people are bad at gambling.

They should put Nick Fury in charge of DC films.
"The WB board has decided to to make a JLA film first then solo movies."
"I acknowledge that the council has made a decision but given that it's a stupid-ass decision I'm electing to ignore it."

About Zooey. She's way to cute for this kind of role.
About Emily...Well unfortunately I think she's way too old now.

I don't think she'd be keen anyway, she turned down the role of BW for Victoria and I think in general she is happier in more drama centred parts.
