Okay, I just saw Lawless.
No one, I repeat NO ONE should play Lex Luthor except Guy Pearce. WB, throw a s***load of money at him and get him on board. There's no better choice out there. None.

And it took Lawless to convince you of this?!

Haha, no, I've always thought Pearce would be a great choice. But up until now, I was open to another actor landing the role.
NOW NO ONE ON EARTH IS WORTHY OF LEX LUTHOR THAN GUY PEARCE. HE HAS SURPASSED ALL COMERS. IF WB COMMITS THE SIN OF CASTING ANOTHER ACTOR AS LEX LUTHOR THE SKY WILL CRACK OPEN AND HYDROCHLORIC ACID WILL RAIN DOWN FROM THE SKY, WASHING THE WORLD AWAY IN A SEA OF TOXIC SLUDGE. IT IS WRITTEN.

I have to agree. Every time I think of an actor that could 100% embody Lex, my mind jumps to Guy Pearce. I can't help it! EVERYTIME lol

I love Fassbender, but no. I'm sure he'd make a fine Lex, but there are plenty of other classic characters I'd much rather see him play, like James Bond and Magneto again.

Billy Zane as a thuggish-but-superintelligent scientist/rich tycoon/Telly Savalas-as-Blofeld type, along the lines of the Animated Series and Post-Crisis Superman.

how about Matthew Goode (Watchmen), i saw the trailer for Stoker and thought he'd be very calculating, cold, and manipulating while being charming. Not to mention he was Ozymandias

I just don't see what "Armie Hammer is the Lone Ranger dammit!" has to do with anything regarding this thread.
