It's looking more and more like Kendrick is the one who'll get the part. If it is her, I wish Marvel would just go ahead and confirm it. For one, at least in my opinion, Kendrick as Sharon Carter would be inspired casting. Also, I'd love to see all the people who don't think she could pull off the role proven wrong.

Hey, it's a totally different Kendrick interview where she gives vague, but adorable, Kendrick-y non-answers.

Kidding aside, yeah, I'm thinking she's possibly the one. Which makes me very excited. Since she's been in my mind now ever since her name was announced, I'd probably be disappointed if they went another route (although Poots would've been interesting, and Felicity Jones has her share of supporters...)

I like Anna Kendrick very much. However, from the actresses considered, I prefer Felicity Jones opposite Chris Evans in CA 2.

My preference is actually Abbie Cornish, but it won't happen...

TBH, it's kind of hard to picture Anna Kendrick or any of the suggestions so far (including mine) having that spark to light up a romantic kiss with Chris Evans. Whoever gets the role, I hope they can bring some warmth to it and the romance, like RDJ and Gwyneth especially did. I'd hate like hell for this inevitable love story to feel forced and blah.

Really can't go wrong here but it should be Brie/Clarke fighting for the role primarily. If Clarke could pull the role off then having this as her first big movie is huge.

With Kendrick dating Edgar Wright, she could have a possible role in Ant-Man and its franchise possibilities, although I think the CA franchise is probably a stronger one to go with at this point.

Sounds like they're planning to run with the story arc that says Natasha knows/knew of the Winter Soldier project. The glaring omission of Renner's name seems to point that way, anyway.

Well she's the only one that made it through from the last round of rumours. I'm happy with any of them I think. It's a little strange they won't just go ahead and confirm Sharon Carter though, it's not like Cap has many big name Love Interests and it certainly makes sense thematically with what we know of the movie so far.

It's possible although with ScarJo most likely confirmed its more likely they'll go with her and Assumedtobe!Sharon.

Maybe Kendrick was too expensive or didn't want to sign the traditional Marvel huge picture deal? All the actresses currently rumoured are a couple of rungs or so down the Hollywood ladder than she is.

It's also slightly possible they're still negotiating with her, in the same way they auditioned every guy in his 20s for Cap but kept on trying to get Evans.
