If they had of kept "the bat must die scene" I feel the opening would have been better.

I don't know... something about that scene felt corny to me.

He's just like a hyena. A shame...I think he's a fine actor usually.

comic book + corny = made for each other.
seriously, have any of you read a old comic book from the 40's/50's? these movies are just like those. |

That said, I love Tommy Lee but his portrayal of Two-Face was misguided. I think they should've balanced out Jim Carrey's antics with a more stoic Two-Face. Tis a shame, it could've been such a better movie. Still fun to watch, though

I read the comic book adaptation first before seeing the movie that when finally seeing the movie I just felt a tad bored.
But I was shocked at the butt close-up as that wasn't in the comic.

That damn seal song was stuck in my head ever since it debuted in the movie.

I think it's time to revisit that song.

The bank where I work at has muzak playing and occasionally Kiss From A Rose plays, I'm surprised how well the song has endured moreso than the other garbage off the soundtrack.
Yeah that's right I hate U2, Smashing Pumpkins and any other 90's alternative crap forced upon me.

![]() This movie really was a tour de force of marketing. I don't care much for the film anymore, but I still have SUCH fond memories of it because I just remember all the excitement of the character posters everywhere, the McDonald's cups, the toys, Jim Carrey, the songs on the radio and MTV...you couldn't escape it. I was only 3 for B'89 so I don't really remember Batmania. But Batman Forever had a crazy hype machine. |

I was 5 when Batman Forever came out (7 for B&R)... so I have a fond affection for these films regardless of their quality.
The hype was very infectious for a young kid.

I still think BF is a legitimately good movie. It's not great, obviously, but it was good. The original cut needs to be released one day.

The "Luck" monologue was actually creepy, when i first saw i was 7 and it creeped the hell out of me, of course i loved Jim Carrey and i remember that i felt so bored when the scenes with bruce's past came up, now when i rewatch the film i appreciate those the most.
i still think its a solid film if it wasn't so full with neon and with a better script (not a better story, the story had some good elements, just a better written script) i think it could easly top Batman 89, because it was a lot more faithful to the comics than the Tim Burton films. |

I finished watching BF just now and I have new found appreciation with it. Is it only me that believes BF to be the most psychological live Batman film? Even more so than B89 and TDKR? Some of the complaints remain like the direction, Kilmer, and villains.

Yeah when it's not trying to be campy, it gives you a very psychological Bruce Wayne.
