I think part of getting Superman right for a video game is that you do have to start at the beginning, and have him gain his powers slowly... people have talked about having him depowered at the beginning... but how about the game going through his origin story?

Starts with a golden age Superman that steadily power up throughout the Game to standard levels.
Alternatively you can have a fully powered Superman in a Cosmic setting |

Why?
I mean, wouldn't it basically be like Prototype/InFamous?

the last thing i want is a movie tie-in game. they're nearly always terrible. i'd rather they develop something with TLC and give us something truly great (i.e., something like the Batman AA/AC games).

I think our "Tie-in" game is Injustice: Gods Among Us. That is the only Superman game scheduled to be in prodcution as far as I am aware. I was hoping we would get something along the lines of Arkham Asylum/City, but it doesn't look like it.

If only. Since we probably won't get a World's Finest movie, a World's Finest game would be cool - set in the AA/AC universe.

Indeed. However, Injustice is the only title listed in production to come out around the time of the MOS debut. I would be very surprised if they had a trick up their sleeves. I just don't think they do.

I just looked it up. It's not really my cup o' tea, so I'll be skipping it. Spider-man comes out with a game seemingly every year. I'm not too sure why Superman can't have one decent one at all.

I really want a Superman game featuring Cavill as Superman....not a tie-in game, but just a really good Superman game with Cavill

The best way to do a Superman game is to not make it a tie-in. That way you get far more villains and boss battles. It worked in Arkham Asylum, staying away from Nolan movie tie ins.

This. The potential of a Superman game is huge; I can't understand why an awesome game hasn't been made so far.

I think that the DCU license is enough to create demand. If they include cameos from some of the other heroes as well I could see it succeeding.
