The intros awesome and I still really dig most the casting for that film. Sucks those actors and characters couldnt be in a decent X flick.

Me, it was me! I like the jacket in the first movies but it's been in EVERY movie! I mean, it's getting a bit much for me. He can wear other cool brown lumberjack-y jackets for a change!

(Sooo, after reading lots of off-topic discussion and some actual Wolverine news..)

Fact: I'm getting so excited for this movie.

In the live chat, Jackman and Mangold seem so passionate about this film. Plus, they say all the right things when it comes to the vibe they're trying to go for. Not too CGI, but a grounded movie with a good, dramatic and dark story.

The darker the better, as far as I'm concerned.

Which is why I was surprised to see some members here rooting for a PG-13 rating. I kind of understand the reasoning, but personally, I love Wolverine because he's not a 'good' guy even though he's a superhero. F.i. the rage is part of him, more than we've seen in the previous films.
Again, something that Jackman and Mangold seemed to agree on in the live chat.

Actually, does anyone know when we'll know the rating? Do we get to know when a trailer comes out, or possibly sooner?

Honestly they can get away with violence in a PG-13 movie. They can have him kill people, is there a rule against this??

Eh I wouldn't want an entire Gambit movie. How about an X-film where he has the size of Rogue's role in X1?

didn't Taylor want a thieves guild story line film

I'm very cautiously optimistic about this one. Mangold & Jackman said all the right things in the chat, but then Jackman said all the right things for XOW, too.

I'd say Schriber was the best thing about XOW. I barely remember how they portrayed Gambit.

I'm waiting for footage on this film. Jackman was incredibly passionate in how he spoke about XO:W, and he was a producer on that and X3, which most fans perceive to be the worst of the bunch (though I personally don't think it is as bad as people think it is...XO:W was much, much, much worse).

I think Reynolds, Schriber, Jackman, etc. could have been awesome in that movie if it was made under totally different circumstances. As is, I hate just about everything about XO:W...and I do mean everything. Script was bad, it was rushed, looked sloppy, etc. Nothing about that film came together at all, and I am really hoping for better with The Wolverine. But, given that last film they put out, I have to wait for footage and to learn more before I am interested. At this moment, this movie is fairly low on my radar. I am way more curious to see how DoFP comes together (and even on that film, I am playing wait & see).

I'm confident in this movie because Mangold looks like he's super serial about this. It looks good so far.

But it is the general fate of these threads that when a movie comes out that we're all passionate about, things spiral out of control for a select few that usually end up under the axe. Those that frequent the Bat boards know this all too well.

I stay apart from the Bat boards mainly because I haven't seen TDKR yet and my view of Nolan isn't as high as the majority. I've gotten stomped on before over there....everyone should just be nice!

I'm in the minority but I loved Origins....its great fun and I'd take it over X3 anyday. Although I think in time I might warm up to X3.

The intro and music were definitely the best parts of the film. Plus I liked Xavier's cameo.
