Yeah that whole scene was messed up for him. From having to see his mother naked, to her goodbye speech, to seeing her cut open while she was alive, realizing she is going to die, and having to put a bullet in her head.
Does anyone feel like they rushed it too quickly (and could have tired to get Herschel) and considering they went out right after they killed her (shot a gun for god sake)? You think they would have been in more danger after that than before.
