We'll know more after Thor 2. I have a feeling they'll use that movie to set up some of the plot in GOTG.

I am still on the bandwagon that Thanos will be in Phase 3, and that big event will be an infinity gauntlet movie

It would be cool if, for the "Phase 3" movies, the after credits scenes were reversed, with a villain (Baron Zemo maybe) recruiting the other villains from each film to assemble as the Masters of Evil for Avengers 3.

I guess buying Marvel and Star Wars for 8B is a good way to strengthen your "boy" brand

Heck of a strategy by them. While both are overwhelmingly boy/male oriented, there are plenty of girls/female fans as well.

Throw in Avatar 2 and the possible Justice League movie and 2015 is going to be a heck of a year for blockbusters that may make other film companies reassess their release schedules.

They used to appeal to both boys and girls but once boys reached a certain age, nothing Disney produced kept them as potential customers. Now with Marvel and Star Wars, there's stuff for everyone.

And Hunger Games wraps up with Mockingjay Pt. 2, which is likely to be huge as well. Plus, there's Smurfs 3, which will blow EVERYTHING out of the water.

Not to start any fanboy wars but I kinda agree.
I see it being (in terms of BO)
1: Star Wars Ep. VII
2. Avengers 2
3. Justice League.

Maybe if JL had Bale (the Batman that people became attatched to since 2005) or had some sort of build up I'd think it'd have more of a chance against the other 2. Also Star Wars and Avengers are already sequels to 2 massive blockbusters.

But still JL will make good money I'll be surprised if it makes under 500 mill

Agreed for the most part. Judging from the numbers the SW films pulled in 99-05, it wont have a problem making money. It's all about the fan base and marketing of the films. As we know TA/ Marvel has a huge and loyal fan base. On the other hand, SW has many more.

And I think JL will be in the 750 range.

They can honestly pull it off introducing the characters in one movie...however, they must have Cavill as Superman and should have Bale as Batman. I think WB is going to throw the bank at him.

that's a rather ironic image to use, given that Xavier (x-men) is one of the few character rights Disney doesn't own...
