Enjoy it - That's pretty awesome.

I wish they'd do a full blown Big 4 tour here in the States.

Some more new stuff I've found:

First up is a band called Witchcraft which has this old school doom/stoner sound, and an awesome voice of the singer!

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

Secondly is a new band who does post-black/doom metal called Enshine. Only their first song is avalable now, and it is catchy as ****

Those sound very professional, Punisher MAX. The playing is tight, the levels are nice, the kick drums hit you in the gut. My only issue is a personal one: I'm burnt out on breakdowns and third-based harmony lines.

haha its all good man, i grew up on At The Gates, Iron Maiden etc so third harmonies give me boners...and breakdowns...well i also grew up with hardcore and Hatebreed so...all together i love it but everyone is different, thanks for the feedback though! the finished mixed/mastered track will sound VERY different.

Please don't let little old me and my personal biases bring you down. I can be sick of breakdowns and minor thirds all I want. You're writing music and you're going for it.

Hey Punisher_Max those songs sound awesome!!
I hope you guys don't mind if i also plug my band here really quick, the vocals aren't screaming but our singer is really good and the music is pretty heavy and more groove oriented.

We have two drummers and in the youtube link youll see them recording, for the songs we just have them trade off, but live they play different rhythms together! So we have two drum sets on stage, its really cool! Let me know what you think please!

This is a nice surprise for all us comic book fans and metal fans here! The cover to The Swords new album is drawn by none other than JH Williams III (yaknow, Batwoman!) Probably one of the most beautiful pieces of artwork this year:

for you who dont listen to them, here's one of their best songs:

Not bad. I would like it you could hear both drummers in the studio versions. I love two drummers (see: the Melvins' last few albums). I do like the way the drums change up the feel and drag the timing in places. The vocals are very well produced. Very present in the mix. Those keyboards rock too. I think the guitars could be a little more present. They sound a bit reedy. They could maybe use a tad less gain and some more mids so that they really punch. That don't quite have the heft that they should.

GODDAMNIT!

“Another chapter of the Nightwish story has ended today. Nightwish and Anette Olzon have decided to part company, in mutual understanding, for the good of all parties involved.

“Nightwish has no intention of cancelling any upcoming shows, and as a result we have decided to bring in a substitute vocalist starting in Seattle 1.10.2012. “We are all strongly committed to this journey, this vehicle of spirit, and we are sure that this will lead to a brighter future for everyone.
We forever remain excited about the adventures to come, and we are extremely proud of the two beautiful albums and the wonderful shows we shared together.

Never heard of the new chick.

She sang on Devin Townsend's Deconstruction. Never actually heard her full-time bands, but she's got some pipes.

NUTS!!! I was just getting used to her!!! That said, I was on a Metal Forum once and they said Floor Jansen had a great voice. She is also a soprano and if they can get her to stay it might help it might not be so bad!

So this is for a game I participated in this weekend. We posted lyrics and then we used them to do our own interpretations of them. I did one in the funeral doom genre and it would be fun to hear what you guys think aswell You can listen to it here: http://soundcloud.com/robin-grahm/cous-deriveraminsjal/
The lyrics are in swedish but I googled-translated them so people can understand them hehe:
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Time

Proper time, how will I keep up with

Time

How can eternity be wrapped
And put in the freezer

Time

It's cold, without the perception of you
Even though the flame burns, it is going
Over there far away

In the warm past.
Maybe I lie already in the freezer
Maybe I'll be heated, consumed
And there will be in the life cycle or sentence

Differentiate my soul
Make me the constant

For that is what you seem to be. Constant.
But a second can be perceived differently
The different approaches
But I will never stalk you
You are the one who stalks me
I just want to control you

Time

Drop me free
I will follow you
You follow me all the way
To the end of time

Please tell me if rumors were true of another Metallica album coming out in 2014? I'm bummed if that's the case.

I'm bummed that I will have to wait two more years I was hoping something would come out either the end of this year or even early next year. I remember listening to death magnetic for the first time in high school.

Did anybody here get the new Acacia Strain or Vision of Disorder albums? The only bad thing about these two albums is I can't listen to both at the same time. It's great to have VOD back after all these years.

These guys are great, they call it SID-metal (Sound Interface Device) and uses the old Commodore 64 device to add a new layer to their speed/power metal.

For fans of Rob Zombie, check out this new band called Hellbound:
