Rogers nodded at Reed and looked forward as the caravan rode down towards the pyramids.

As the caravan neared the pyramids the assembled tanks seemingly became alerted to their presence and aimed their guns in their direction, but held their fire.
There orders were quite clear.

Four giant spotlights were turned on, beaming out and illuminating Richards and his troupe. For the longest of seconds, an uneasy silence fell over the scene. But the silence was soon interrupted by twin crimson beams of heat from the heavens above that tore through their rank, incinerating their guide in the process.

"There will be no escape for any of you", Superman declared as he descended from above, his voice echoing thunderously across the area.
"Tonight, I will end your threat to the empire once and for all!"

Superman's eyes glowed a bright red, and two beams of concentrated heat shot from them towards Reed Richards.
