I hope they don't dress her down to much like they did with Kirsten Dunst. Especially in Spider-Man 2. I mean it was like they were actually going out of their way to make her look bad in that film.

Shaliene can look pretty if done up well. Hopefully she can look more like this:

Which is what I was worried that they'd make her look like when Mary Jane is a knockout supermodel not everyday cute tomboy chick from across the road.

Still am not a fan of this choice at all. Because of my girlfriend I've watched four years of Secret Life and what little likability her character began with was far gone in season 2 for a very *****y attitude. Couple that with the hateful character she got cast as in that Clooney film, I just can't find her a likable actress. Maybe I'll get proven wrong, in fact I hope I do.

Well, I wouldn't hold her two unlikeable character roles against her, because those are just that: roles. And the fact that you had such a strong negative reaction to them just shows that she's doing her job as an actress. But that doesn't necessarily make her an unlikeable person in real life. Acting personas and real life personas are (not always, but most of the time) two separate things.

In fact, if you watch interviews of her in real life, she's actually very likeable and approachable.

I really hope she doesn't look like Peter's kid sister in this movie. It would be good though if they did play siblings one day in a future movie. When you get two actors who look alike playing siblings, it adds more to the believability of everything.
