I really hope Harry and MJ don't have much screen time. I don't want their presence to take away from Spider-Man/Peter, Gwen and Electro.

I think Alden Ehrenreich might be good in the role of Harry. It really does depend on what kind of personality or role they want Harry to have. Will he be a more friendly and carefree friend, in which case I say Anton. Or will he be a bit more harcore, intense or even obnoxious, which then I'd say Alden. There are quite a few good choices out there. Who knows, he might even be black.

A Dark and Edgy son to go with a Dark and Edgy father?

I don't like the idea of a "dark and edgy" Harry myself, because Harry should be a polar opposite of his father, imo.

I remember him being very...uplifting and energetic from what I watched/read back in the childhood days.

Would make more sense for Harry to be somewhat outgoing if he is to befriend Peter. I'm optimistic no matter what because I have a feeling Webb and crew will do great with a sequel now...but Harry shouldn't have a similar personality to Peter. Wouldn't be interesting that way.

I think for Harry he looks like he can play polar opposite but also dive deep into dark territory when the story calls for it. That pairing of Harry and Norman looks great to me.

Really looking forward to this casting! I think ASM2 has some real potential!

EDIT: This "dark and edgy" Harry casting as well as Jamie Foxx make it feel to me like ASM2 is going for a darker direction.

True, Harry can have some deep personal anger, but I feel that the optimistic Harry seen in Spider-Man(at least the first film while Norman was still alive) is the best way for at least Peter to see him while we have the "dark and edgy" vibe mostly with Norman Osborn.

Is DeHaan on his way to becoming a star or am I just in a weird mood? Dude was starring in Chronicle, had a big role in Lawless, and he's in the opening scene for LINCOLN with that one guy Rian Johnson always works with too.

And now possibly and most likely entering this franchise. Reminds me of a young DiCaprio.

Out of the rumoured three candidates, I'm rooting for Dane too like everybody else.

And I really hope they killed off Gwen in this sequel in order to stay true and faithful to the comics.

If Gwen dies in part two, this might be the best ever Spiderman film ever made.

You say that, but what if the actual film, build up and climax fail in execution.

It's all about the characters, story, and build up to climax...and the action will take care of itself if all those aspects succeed.

Well, kinda, but while Harry should be a different type of guy, I still want that he feels bad that he can't earn his father's acceptance, and while cheerful from the outside, we should notice subtle signs of his hurt confidence. Basically, like he's always trying

Harry in this series should be a cross between Andrew from "Chronicle" (before he went nuts) and Lex Luthor from "Smallville"

That is the best way I can describe what I think he should be.
