IMO I think the table stopping at a point nearest the screen just behind Stan is a technique that was used to create a greater sense of depth of field. The effect looked pretty cool if you happened to see the movie in 3D. I have a feeling that's why the motion of the table took that 'route' and not continued on it's path around to the left.

Oh yeah that would make sense. I wanted to see the movie in 3D but the timings just didn't work out. Some shots you can tell were made for 3D, like at oscorp with the hologram, and the Stan Lee cameo, but it wasnt obvious like some other scenes.

Yeah man, in all honesty I'm not a big 3D movie buff but since I new I was gonna see ASM a second time, I figured, eh, why not see it in 3D. For the most part the movie in 3D is pretty 'meh' with the exception of a few scenes mostly the ones featuring Spidey and most especially the POV shots. Those were spectacular.

Yeah I never really expected lots of depth for scenes where people are just talking. That might have gotten a little distracting too. Just wondering, was the screen any darker when you saw it in 3D?

Darker? Hmmm. I don't really remember. I know that the Blu-ray review of the 3D version said it looked darker than the 2D but I don't remember if it was that way in the theater.

Ok so it wasn't really that noticable since you can't remember any difference. I hear that's a problem with 3d movies, because of the glasses or something. I don't really watch movies more than once, do I can never tell if the lighting for 3D is messed up or not.
